I do see the comparison now that you mentioned it. She went on the wrong cycle, maybe cycle 9 because she's still more high fashion than scandaleisha.

I feel badly for Atalya. She certainly was not my favorite. In fact to be completely honest she was at the bottom of my list. I didn't see a whole lot of high fashion potential in her. MAYBE commercial or urban. But don't cast a girl with the notion that she's already simply "pretty" and then fault her for it resulting in her elimination. I agree with keeping Amis there but it's like... why bother even putting Atalya in the roster in the first place if you're just going to go and do that.

Definitely a shocker though. I'd thought she would last at least a few episodes. If she was/had been old enough to be in Cycle 9 she should've gone then. She'd have it in the bag. Sealed and shut. I probably wouldn't be pleased with her win but she's certainly better than Saleisha.

That sucks. I was starting to like Atalya, I wanted to get to know her more but she got eliminated

But, I'd rather have her eliminated than amis though.

Atalya shouldn't have been the first eliminated (ahem ... Amis!!)!!! But I will say that seeing Atalya eliminated first was like seeing Saleisha finally get the boot! It was so cathartic! If I can only smash the boot in her face ... I'm getting carried away, aren't I? I bet if Saleisha had not know Tyra, she would have gotten the same treatment as Atalya! But Atalya is ten times better than that no-neck monster!

She seemed so sweet that even though she probably had the least potential, it was still sad to see her go. The first elimination was definitely spot on though.

I agree with Atalya herself that she had potential. But I think Tyra added her to the 14 girls as filler i.e. girls they can eliminate for no reason when they want. I'm just glad Amis was saved over her.
