Naomi Campbell was quoted as saying (reportedly):
"She told The London Paper: "Women of colour are not a trend. That's the bottom line. It's a pity that people don't always appreciate black beauty.

Naomi, 37, apparently admitted that her supermodel pals helped her career by taking a stand.

"Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington would go to big designers and say, 'If you don't pick Naomi to be in your show, then I don't want to be in it'," she recalled.

"The only reason I got the cover of French Vogue was because Yves Saint Laurent called up and told them he'd pull his ads if they didn't."

The Streatham-born star spoke out after her former boss admitted racism was still rife in the industry.

Carole White, head of the Premier model agency and who represented Campbell for 17 years, said on Monday: "The bookers are told, 'Don't send any ethnic girls'. I showed a picture of a new black girl to an agent in Milan, and he actually recoiled. He said, 'We don't have black girls in Milan. It's impossible.'" - MSN.com/co.uk - not sure which one!!!

So maybe she had asked Tyra to let a black girl do well to stop this "racism" of the fashion industry or maybe that wasn't the case and a black girl happens to be the best this Cycle... but we'll see in time!!!

Yeah thats pretty interesting. But even if a black girl wins this cycle, what about the next cycle? Does that mean Tyra has to ALWAYS let a black girl win from now on? It just doesnt make that much sense.

I mean its a pretty great story about the whole Naomi thing. I wished Fatima entered cycle 9 and won that cycle instead of Saleisha. But the outcome of another black girl to win is a small chance. Just watch the show. Hopefully it'll turn our minds the other way

I hope no one thinks that by what I said meant I wouldn't think two black girls in a row winning would be good, I just meant that it would be un-Tyra like to crown two girls of the same race as a winner back to back. Although from the arguments you've made, Tyra might just change it up a little bit. I don't really care what race the winner is, as long as they are a deserving winner.

These are things she saw and confirmed with me directly (not through a friend of a friend of a friend...)

* Marvita walks around naked. A LOT.
* Marvita does not pull a Jaslene. She does not win.
* Anya is dumb and crazy, but in a lovable Natasha sort of way.
* The first elimination is SCANDALOUS, and sends "shockwaves" through the other girls... my friend absloutely refuses to tell me who goes home 1st.
* Dominique refers to herself in the 3rd person. A Lot.
* They return to Italy for the international destination.

I'll let you know if I post more. They finish logging the tapes tomorrow (and then my friend will no longer be working for Bankable Productions).

Ms. J's "thing" this cycle is to have all the girls name on his outfit... when they are eliminated--they dissappear off his jacket.

Paulina Porzikova is much better than Twiggy (more assertive, opinionated), but still no where near the level of Janice.

The "scandalous" part of the 1st episode has to do with elimination, and it is something not seen before on Top Model. Caught my friend completely off guard, and it's not a mechanism of Tyra, but something involving the contestants.

The spoiler about Dominique referring to herself in third person is true as well as the Anya one (from how Tyra described her) so we can conclude all of these spoilers are true too.
