Goth is normally dark. Black. Black Nail Polish, Black Boots, Studs and/or Zippers on clothes, Black Eyeliner ... stuff such as that. (I am only addressing appearance. Lifestyle is another matter but really doesn't matter in a photoshoot)

From what I remember, the Goth scene came from the the post-punk period in the late 1970s and early 1980s. (reaction to the -- shudder -- disco emergence in the '70s, perhaps?

According to a Web site from the BBC, there are several types of Goths nowadays. I only know the dark, black, depressing-hip type (Punk Goth is what they call it now, I guess), but oh well:

Cyber Goth -- Robotic style. Keen on technology. Indulges in careful use of colour

Glitter Goth -- body sparkle and glitzy make-up. Wears brighter colours (uh, don't agree with this one, but I am older than 40, so what do I know)

Punk-Goth -- The original .. Think Joy Division, and Siouxsie. Doomy and nihilistic

Perky Goth -- Playful Goth. More upbeat and "cheeky" in style (editorial comment -- gag)

New Romantic Goth -- More elaborate in style and dress. White and black colors

Vampy Goth == Black lace, white make-up. 19th century gothic horror (also commonly known)

Crusty Goth -- Hippy tendencies. Tendency to be older than 40 years old

I live in the same county as Katarzyna and in today's paper they had a picture of her with shorter blonde hair [a little past her shoulder]. She looked gorgeous. At first I thought it was Amanda [C3]

I don't know if this was her makeover or she had it done after the show.

Its a good clue that she goes short for her makeover. Usually when we see girls with their hair changed from before the show, it means that they stayed until at least the makeover and that they had something similar on the show! Good find!
