AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL CONTROVERSY
December 14, 2007

Winner of America's Next Top Model, Saleisha Stowers, celebrated her victory Wednesday night, but within 24 hours of the announcement, a controversy was brewing.

A national Wendy's commercial on YouTube features Saleisha Stowers in the back of a car playing herself -- a beautiful girl. The commercial is from 2006.

The problem? The Top Model Eligibility Rules clearly spell out that no contestant is allowed to have appeared in a national ad.

The tenth rule in the eligibility requirements states: "You must not have previous experience as a model in a national campaign within the last five years (including, but not limited to, appearances on television and print advertisements)."

What's more, Top Model fans are claiming, via various message boards on the internet, there was a previous relationship between Stowers and host Tyra Banks.

Earlier this season, it was revealed on the show that Stowers participated in Banks' self-esteem camp.

The rep for America's Next Top Model did not immediately return our call for comment.

Scandaleisha is also the name of that incredibly annoying YouTube member that makes me want to go Dionne on him / her and show him / her my non-existent hood side.

But otherwise, this "scandal" being named as Scandaleisha is pretty awesome.

I saw the CelebTV video. Mm, hee-larious. If I remember correctly, we first learned about Scandaleisha's Wendy's commercial from a Kimberly interview.

The question remains. Is acting synonymous with modeling? Scandaleisha has been confronted in an interview and she said acting wasn't the same thing as modeling.

You guys need to remember the rule about the rules being able to be changed at any time so if Scandaleisha is found in violation of the rules, Ken Mok and Tyra Banks can change the rules for her.

Type in on YouTube, CelebTV, Saleisha, and you'll probably find it.

You can't put links from YouTube on here, but what is allowed her is telling other people what to type to find the certain video.

Wow, if she gets stripped of her title from this, it would be a little shocking. I've heard of things like this in beauty pageants where the winner gets stripped of her crown, but never a reality TV winner.

When Bianca and Kimberly were just simply asking her questions, Saleisha got SO defensive and literally stood up on the bed and started yelling and pointing fingers. If it wasn't that big of a deal then she would have let it go. She knows she was cheating, stop with the lame excuses Skankleisha.

But yes, I can see Ken Mok and Tyra changing the rules too.
