The power of consumers have spoken!
Saleisha the Scandaleisha 's wikipedia page have it documented that angry fans have contacted Cover Girl and Seventeen that they will not endorse their products with Saleisha in it.

Angry fans have started to call and write to the Cover Girl Corporation and Seventeen Magazine, stating that they will not purchase anything endorsed by Saleisha. A rep for Cover Girl stated to one caller, "how we spend our advertising dollars is important to us, I will make sure the right people in the company here about this"

It's from wikipedia so doubt it's true.
Unless I hear it from another source I wont believe it.
I'd be happy though.

^ the "Movement" in her page was added. No doubt it is true. How accurate we dont know. but nevertheless, karma bites her in the butt, real hard.

Not just that. I think the main point of argument about that whole thing is that it was the guys fault anyway. He stepped on her train. That is beyond her control. Trains suck. My dad stepped on my bridal train when he was giving me away.

And the fact that the issue is being talked about on television, shows its something people arent going to let Tyra roll over on us. I.

What she said! I have been insulted by the past several cycles, and hell, most tv, for awhile now. They assume we are all idiots and will take anything thrown at us. And what is sad, quite a few people do. But, those of you with independent minds need to stand up and yell, "Where mad as hell, and we aren't going to take it anymore." lol, you may quote me!

Demand more intelligent programing. Hello, The Mother of All Pageants, this means you go away. Also, let's see some positive shows with women not becoming stereotypes of themselves. Let's see Tyra put on and keep a black girl who isn't bi#chy.
Holymacaroni steps down off her soapbox.
She has a nosebleed, didn't realize the soapbox was so high.

That's why shows like Arrested Development were canceled because nobody watches intelligent television. So I say why don't we viewers go on strike if we don't like what TV has to offer.

Sudio 50 was good. With Amanda Peet. They didn't overexplain. That grates me nerves.

Of course...it is gone too.

There's a fine line between being mad, and then being outragously rude and insensitive. Maybe they don't mean it, but still.
You should complain about what is said "on other sites" in those other sites. We don't have control over what they say.

As far as what is being said about Saleisha here, it's really no worse than what was said and is still being said about CariDee and Jaslene (and about other winners-- and about the judges and Tyra, for that matter).

IDGI, but the knife can sit down.
On the other hand, you could simply stop reading a thread titled "CelebTV's Breaking News: TOP MODEL SCANDAL" if you're tired of seeing people post about it.

Re: CelebTV's Breaking News: TOP MODEL SCANDAL

As for what the other contestants said publicly about Saleisha and whether they thought the competition was fair and whether she deserved to win, they'd have to either (1) be willing to abandon all hope of a modelling career; or (2) prize fools to say otherwise, regardless of what they think privately. PR Rule 101 is never say anything negative. If you badmouth the show, the producers, or the winner, even if you're justified, you look like a sore loser and send a bad message to any potential employer that you might say something about them in the future. Plus you never know who you might make an enemy of, who is friends with that person, or what damage might be done to your career potential because of it. I'm not saying the girls lied, but I don't necessarily give a lot of credence to their assertions, either.

If true, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, I've got to think Cover Girl is seriously displeased about this scandal. As I said before, it will taint all associated with it, however innocent, assuming there actually are one or more innocent parties associated with all the to-do'ings.

However, if you really want ANTM itself to get better, or if you're less magnanimous and hopeful and just want the show, its judges and producers to sweat blood for this debacle, just contacting Cover Girl and Seventeen is not enough (and frankly, I'm surprised there hasn't been a letter writing campaign of complaint to Elite, as well, since they are part of the prize). You wanna hit them where it hurts so they mend their ways? Write every company that advertised during their show. Tell them that they are supporting a rigged, inequitable show, you are disappointed (especially be sure to mention if you buy their products) that they would associate themselves with a production with such questionable integrity, tell them if you won't be watching anymore, or if you're boycotting their products because they're supporting the show, and suggest they consider putting their advertising dollars into Project Runway, Tim Gunn's show, or one of the other modelling competitions out there instead. Heck, why stop there? Write a letter of complaint to the CW network. The more of a groundswell of popular discontent and rebellion is, both laterally and horizontally, the more likely they will actually improve their standards, or at least pay for their sins.

As for the person who commented that certain photo shoots or challenges favor one girl over another, i.e. the rock climbing photo shoot favored Jenah, the music video shoot favored Lisa, I agree. But I don't think its exactly a coincidence that many things that happen on the show happen on the show. Its been fairly obvious to me since at least cycle 3, if not earlier, that there's a lot of contrivance and manipulation behind the scenes, not only in terms of the photo shoots chosen, and the order in which they are done, but also in terms of the themes that are emphasized on each cycle, why one's diction is so very important and becomes a killer flaw in some cycles and yet Jaslene with her horrible accent hardly was criticized for it and becomes the winner and CG. Remember, the girls fill out detailed applications, including their likes and dislikes, they undergo psychological testing, they are being filmed 24/7, Tyra is apparently calling certain of the girls in the house and not others, and certainly within the first couple of photo shoots they probably have a good idea of the strengths and weaknesses of each contestant.
