Re: Heather - Cycle 9 I wonder why they hardly ever interview her. Most of the other girls, throughout the show talk about the shoots and stuff. Heather doesn't. Also, they never show her on the screen when they are showing all the girls together. Thats weird.

Heather - Cycle 9 ADHD is caused by a lack of beta waves in the brain, and the lack of beta waves typically results in symptoms relating to a lack of focus and being easily distracted. Asperger's is the complete opposite. It is caused by a surplus of beta waves in the brain, and the surplus typically results in over-focussing. The aspie can't help but be overly analytical, less emotional, will have trouble changing focus, and will often not grasp the significance of events. The fact that Heather was diagnosed with both of these indicates that her doctor probably over-diagnoses problems, and doesn't indicate whether or not she has either of these particular symptoms. Watching her, it is apparent that she is different, but I'm not sure it is actually Asperger's. Oddly, there was one girl that I think probably did have Asperger's this season. Victoria. She seems to have most of the symptoms. I was sad to see her go.

Re: ANTM 9 and Asperger's From 4 hours of TV, you really can't observe an edited person enough to confirm that A) Heather doesn't have ADHD or Aspergers, B) That Victoria has Aspergers, or C) That her doctor overdiagnoses. And where did you hear that Aspergers has any sort of confirmed cause? If Autism was caused by the same thing as ADHD, which they can medicate, then wouldn't they be able to medicate autism? I'd really be interested in knowing what you're basing all of this on, is all.

| Re: Heather - Cycle 9 Heather is amazing, but I see her getting the "Brittany" elimination. Taking fabulous photographs, but getting eliminated for conducting herself awkwardly in person. It's a shame, because I think she's the most strikingly beautiful girl this season, and has a wondeful, endearing personality.

Re: Heather - Cycle 9 I find it interesting that someone concerned with possible overdiagnosing is so quick to diagnose Victoria with Asperger's. Just because Victoria might have seemed a little introverted (which may just be because she didn't get a lot of airtime) and came across as a little "prickly" to borrow their word around the judges does NOT mean that she's autistic.
