well i agree that what kim said was "mean" but like i doubt she was the only one stating her thoughts on the situation..there might have been more girls who thought the same...and they just decided to show her opinion on the situation...also she didnt just give negatives about Heather..its not like she was saying all bad things about her as if she hated her...she later said that she was beautiful...just that she had something odd about her...oo and i thought that kim did make a valid point...usually in the competition the girls tend to drift away from one another when the competition gets tight...so i think that although she said something "mean" she did say some truth..

well, complimenting someone when you go on to talk crap about them doesn't really make up for it.

and she wasn't just saying girls tend to drift apart, she was saying people like Heather tend to cling to someone and she didn't want to be that person.

See i dont understand how saying that she dosent want heather to "cling" onto her is dissing her...i mean seriously im sure she didnt mean to hurt her... if she did, she would have said it to her...And i also bet that they only showed that bit of how kim was speaking about how people like Heather "tend to cling" to show how people may think when they see a girl with Heather's condition...

I think the upsetting part of Kim's comment was the "people like Heather" part not the "tend to cling" part. People w/ Aspergers don't tend to cling to people, but that's not the irritating part. Kim, and the other girls, need to go by the silly old saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." As corny as it sounds, it's true. They don't understand her disorder (I refuse to call it a disability as well) so they're going to make fun of her, bash her, or assume "people like her" act a certain way, and that's annoying and mean.

But how would they know any better...if they dont experience being with someone with this disorder, they wouldnt know how to act...i bet that during the show people will eventually like her and understand her better....with exeperience i bet they will open up to her..

yeah but it's a shame that they have to act on their ignorance. you know, she could have been like Mila and actually asked her about her disorder. and she sure sounded like she knew about the disorder, "people like Heather"

i understand...she did talk based on her ignorance...but you wouldnt be any better speaking badly of her since you dont reaally know about Kim either...i mean for all we know she could have said something really nice to her or acted nice to her...and they only show her "trash" talking about her to show how people were being mean to her and leaving her out...

That's exactly our point! It sounds like you're saying that Kimberly doesn't know about the disorder, and thats why she made an incorrect statement. But by saying, "People like Heather...." makes it sound like she DOES know about it, or is at least pretending to know about. She's wrong, and is stating it like it's a fact. People like Heather cling to people? No they don't.

Maybe by saying that like its a fact, the other girls are going to believe it and treat it as fact. It's just really irresponsible for Kimberly to go around telling the other girls how people with aspurgers act. It's clear she doesn't know. So why did she act like she did?

I'll tell you this, if someone I met at work, at school, or anywhere else had a disorder or a disease I didn't know anything about, I wouldn't go around saying, "People like that do THIS". I'd either keep my mouth shut, or I'd find out.

lets just say that based on the episode and how all the girls acted we can infer that the girls weren't previously told of the disorder... and that when Mila/Chantal asked her about it was maybe because they where having a conversation about something and Heather opened up about it....

now, pretend you are placed in a house with a girl who seems awkward and seems to not be socializing and acting normal, as all the other girls... (well, theoretically)

Maybe when Kimberly said "people like Heather" she meant people who acted like she did... not knowing of her condition... just basing it on the way she acted... (hey, maybe not and she is a total ignorant bitch.. but based on my boyfriends reaction to it- who knows her personally- it wasn't characteristically her and just some reality tv editing)

so point being... i just think that what she said was totally taken out of context and that if she would have said this in the regular world it wouldnt have been seen as anything ridiculously harsh or mean... just reality (NOT that i am condoning that type of behavior! i would never have made such an ignorant comment) but i just think Kimberly didnt mean to hurt Heather or to cause her pain... she is in a competition and it is her dream (as well as a lot of the girls) to win.... and in general, having someone cling to you isnt a good quality, especially in a competition... and yeah, in the episode, Heather didnt display qualities that made her look "clingy" but we didnt see a 24/7 video of life in the top model house... just a 1 hour edited re-cap...

so all in all... lets just see how things go and hope that Kimberly turns it all around and revalidates herself.... because i really love that girl...
