exactly! she was 14!! and also, t-zone is a good thing! even if tyra is promoting t-zone, is it such a bad thing? it's for a good cause. i think girls should go to t-zone and build some self asteem(sp?). Saleisha would be a brilliant role model.

I think, as in politics, it is the appearance of a conflict of interest. The connections are more than just singular, such as having been in the semis and such.

Tyra mentioned the T-Zone but did not mention being on a fashion show on her talk show (If I am remembering correctly) nor did she mention her being on a runway show that was on ANTM.

If there is an appearance of a conflict of interest then it is best to recuse oneself from voting. Or pick a similarly qualified candidate.

I do not blame or hold it against Saleisha. She is just not my favorite, but certainly not on the bottom of my list.

I feel sorry for Saleisha because if she does win, even if it is on her own honest merit, there will still be an asterick -- to some -- by her name as a winner.

it's sad because i'm sure without all the Tzone thing and all the favoritism by tyra people would love her, she's a real sweetheart,well she seems at least

If it is the first one, it is unfair. But if it is the later one, it's not a big deal.

Saleisha said in her preshow interview she was approached by a casting director.

Tyra wanted Tiffany to win more than anything, if only so she could drive home her point that people can change and if at first you don't succeed, try again. However, it got to a point where it would have been impossible to let Tiffany win without seriously destroying every last bit of credibility the show had--you couldn't simply just edit away everything that was going against her. Tyra had her second chance with Jaslene--there were numerous opportunities for Jaslene to be eliminated due to things like a lack of improvement or only having one look-- 4 personalities, anyone? I believe a lot of the love that Jaslene got for the judges was due to the fact that she tried again, and that sends a good message.

With Saleisha, there is a message as well--Models need self esteem, T-Zone gives self esteem, and a girl who went to T-Zone now has the self esteem to be a successful model.

I disagree. Even without the controversy, which I believe is serious, I thinks she has a boring face. I like her better with the makeover, but she is just nothing special in face or pose.

I think her face is unique and stunning personally. I found I liked it better with her old hair, it made her look softer and prettier. Her new hair does give her face some edge that she didn't have before but I don't know if that is necessarily such a good thing. She still looks good regardless though. With the right makeup, etc. AND still with her long hair, she could have been edgy and not so safe. Plus the long hair was way more versatile and, depending on how it's styled, could also make her look edgy.

I don't even find her look to be very safe anyway. It's definitely approachable and likable, very pretty and not someone you have to look twice at to see their beauty. So in that sense I guess it is safe. But I still find it unique at the same time. It's too bad she wasn't a few inches taller because then I think she'd really rock the modeling world but she does so great with what she has.
