Saleisha - Cycle 9

That's a show for GenArt not Tyra, how is this unfair? If that was Victoria( ), Chantal, or Jenah people would be saying how fierce and amazing they are for getting work. But because it's Saliesha it's "unfair". BTW, Saliesha is FIERCE in those caps.

my gosh guys, even chantal said in her pre-show interview that she had did a few runway shows. just because saleisha did runway shows before the show started, doesn't make it unfair.

she looks gorgeous, so i don't see anything wrong.

No, I would say it's unfair if any of the Cycle 9 girls were up there

Anyways, it's unfair because the contestants aren't supposed to know Tyra or the judges or any of the producers because they could be favored by one of them

I can see that logic. Anyone who's ever been bored/curious enough knows that the application specifically states any relationship to a CW employee is enough to make a girl ineligible to participate.
Granted, Saleisha isn't related to Tyra, but of all the staff of the show, Tyra is probably the one most likely to favor someone she already has a relationship with.

Now it's been a year or three since cycle six, so allow me to refresh my memory--GenArt was the fashion show that the girls went to after their makeovers to pick outfits for their "new styles", correct? Though that is an ANTM related show, we can't say for sure that Tyra had a hand in picking the models. Saleisha appearing on the Tyra show--that seems a bit more likely that Tyra had a hand in things. And let's not forget the all important factor- TZONE.

There is absolutely no way in hell Saleisha's success on ANTM is her own doing, and that's why I can't stand her more than anything. Her improvement is nonexistant, her look is boring, and above all, she's about as fierce as a chihuahua. Chihuahua's are cute, sure, but not fierce. There's no "oomph" to a chihuaha.

If Saleisha wins, it's almost positively due to the fact that Tyra wants the world to know how great T-Zone really is.

Yeesh, if she wins, I won't bother watching this again. How could Tyra think anyone wouldn't assume a rigged competition? Regardless of whether Saleisha has talent or not, her previous involvement is a clear conflict of interest and her being in the competition at all is incredibly unprofessional.

If it is the first one, it is unfair. But if it is the later one, it's not a big deal.

I think if anything Saliesha was a fairly succesful model in the past and when she walked in Tyra's show, producers saw a golden oppurtunity to have her compete.

There's was girl on Tyra's show named Ashley who had a makeover who applied for ANTM but she didn't make it this cycle. Saleisha has modeling experience, but so did the Twins and other girls. Nik, Christian, Megg and Sarah (C8) had contracts with Elite and had to terminated them in order to compete on the show. Monqiue turned down a Ford contract just to be on the show.

As for Tyra knowing some girls, she knew Jaslene and Tiffany already because they were semifinalists the previous cycle and both of them were told to tryout for the show again by her. Was that fair that they came back on the show? Saleisha was 14 when she did T-Zone and probably kept in touch with Tyra.
