Nope. The Saleisha scandal is only a scandal among heated fan bases and internet sites. No designer cares about any of that.

In the real world, no one really cares she won or that Tyra was biased. This "scandal" has not turned anyone against Saleisha that wasn't already against her.

Do you think Jenah or Chantal fans would be crying foul if it had been Jenah or Chantal who knew Tyra before-hand?

But they are aware that she got her modeling break through a rigged competition. She'll never be taken seriously, of course she wasn't before either.

In the real world, no one really cares she won or that Tyra was biased. This "scandal" has not turned anyone against Saleisha that wasn't already against her.

What makes you so certain? This incident isn't all that isolated, and you know this girl is going to get shopped around by Elite assuming they don't think of her as a talentless hack. The fashion industry loves gossip and they do label very easily.

Well I should hope so. It may sting worse because Saleisha is such a bad model that it makes the favoritism more obvious, but if either of them (or my girl Heather) had been revealed to have the same history as Saleisha did, I'd be on them as well.

If said this many a time before but I couldn't care less if she'd had experience or if she knew Tyra, the fact is she sucked and it's that that isn't fair.

If anything hurts Saleisha is being associated with ANTM period.

I don't think there would be any scandal if Jenah or Chantal had known Tyra. Why? because people would rationalize their connection because Jenah and Chantal are actually good models.

I don't think people were really pissed because Saleisha knew Tyra, people were pissed because there were clearly better candidates.

Outside of FORT and similar type of websites, I've yet to hear about this "scandal". Especially when Tyra established that they knew each other from the very first episode.

Just because ANTM is a joke to them doesn't mean they couldn't have heard about it. Obama is a joke to me, but I still hear all his ridiculous rhetoric.

But ultimately I think you're right, winning ANTM is the kiss of death for her, not necessarily the scandal. The other kiss of death would probably be that she's a terrible model.

Really? I've read magazine/newspaper articles about this and even seen it on TV. My sister reads no gossip magazines, no forums and pretty much avoids pop culture altogether and even she heard about it.

I don't hate Saleisha, at all. She's not a horrible person. What pisses me off is that she was the most un-appealing girl out of the top 6. If an African American model was statistically made to win Cycle 9 then why not Bianca or Ebony? They had loads of potential compared to Saleisha. The funny thing with Saleisha is that she had the most experience out of the girls, but moved like an amature compared to the rest. I don't think that Saleisha's win will gain her anything but a few odd jobs here and there. She's not a striking girl. I.M.O.

What show was it on? Personally, I've heard zilch on this scandal outside of the internet. ANTM just isn't that relevant.

I just think you guys are blowing this "scandal" out of proportion. I mean, I don't even like Saleisha (I preferred everyone in the top 6 over her and Jenah is my all time 2nd fave ANTM contestant) and think she along Naima are the worst winners. I just fail to see how this is a scandal. Unfair and biased, yes. Scandal, far from.
