| Re: Saleisha - Cycle 9 People are saying NOW they see a model emerge but she's always been exceptional by ANTM standards and just average people standards. I can't wait to see more of what Saleisha does in the future because whether you want to believe it or not, this girl has been trying to get her career started and now she finally HAS. Everything she's done in the past has been very minimal, it was really nothing big. I recall watching something on Lindsay Lohan (not 100% it's true mind you) that she had starred in dozens of commercials before she got her first movie break. She had more modeling experience than Saleisha had when Lindsay was 10! Saleisha has been in ONE commercial that we know of and she wasn't even the supporting role to the lead. The blond girl had a bigger role, Saleisha was just another GORGEOUS girl to put in the car . She is an AMATEUR model. She has not done anything HUGE. ANTM was a huge break an AMATEUR model needs. Saleisha has been working her butt off to get where she is today and most of these girls joined as a dare or because they were bored. People like ANTM because they give wannabe models a shot at making their name bigger and work more established. Saleisha was NOT an established model, she was a wannabe model working since she was in her early teens at this. People don't like her because she knew Tyra and they think it was rigged; whether or not Saleisha was determined to win from the beginning isn't a big deal to me as from preshow photos and before this "scandal" came out, I had seen something special in Saleisha that set her apart from all the other girls. The judges, guests on the show, the OTHER MODELS on the show all saw it too. From interviews I've seen after the show, the people interviewing her are taken by her as well! I honestly think she would have won regardless because she was on a different playing field throughout the entire competition (meaning, she was BETTER!!) than the other girls were. |
