Saleisha - Cycle 9

Tyra actually helped her career. She never reached the level of being in the cover of a magazine. The problem is Saleisha not Tyra Banks. By winning Tyra gave her all the resources to succeed.

I don't get why everything is blamed on Tyra.

Tyra is being blamed because she selected Saleisha to be on the show and win while she was well aware of the fact that Saleisha had heaps and bounds of previous experience. Unlike Saleisha, Tyra is (supposedly) smart, rational, and intelligent when it comes to these things, yet she totally screwed up on this one. (I'm deliberately not touching on the numerous other points that could be covered)

Saleisha's walk wasnt all that. Her thighs are too thick. Look at other models walking the runways in N.Y, Milan and Paris and then look at Saleisha.
And she desperately needs a neck.

Off the topic here -- I think she's short (5'8). I don't know if any of you guys noticed but when Saleisha initially set up her Official Myspace page she put 5'8.
I don't know about now. But then in interviews she says 5'10.

Everybody blames Tyra for Saleisha winning but, what about Nigel? He was obviously more into Saleisha winning that Tyra. When they were deliberating Tyra stayed neutral while Nigel went head to head with Twiggy and Ms. Jay because supposedly Saleisha was better.

I know Tyra has something to do with it but overall she's not the complete responsible for Saleisha winning.

I blame both Saliesha and Tyra. Saliesha is an adult and could have declined the offer to appear on the show. She's not very smart if she didn't think people would find out about her connections with Tyra in this day and age of technology. I don't really blame Nigel because afterall it is Tyra's and what she says goes.

Why would Saleisha decline her offer? I doubt she knew what Tyra's intentions were at the time. even if she did know, why would she turn this down?

It's a great opportunity for her. Not because it opens up doors in the fashion world, but it does make her "famous". This is good especially considering she'll go the commercial route. Just look at how many posts she has. People on this site talk about her more than they talk about Heather. So what if people hate her? People hated Jaslene almost as much and it's not like Jaslene's career has been negatively affected as a result.

I also don't see how this makes Tyra stupid. Tyra obviously has her own agenda and Saleisha winning favored her agenda. It's not like ANTM's reputation was tarnished because she won. Also, for all our bitching, most of us are still going to tune in for cycle 10, so I doubt the ratings will be affected. Tyra may be fake but I don't think she's anywhere near stupid.

With that said, Saleisha is still the worst winner from ANTM (well, there is Naima still).

Well, if Tyra came to me and asked me to be on ANTM and said I was guarenteed to win, I might of said yes. The worst that could happen is that some one would find Its really Tyra who is risking a lot because if some one found out that she was rigging the competition, then the show would lose the last of its credibility.
