I also disagree here. Shandi chose not to do it anymore because of the ANTM stigma (which is sad, she had such a strong portfolio), I don't know about the twins, Kahlen has said she just doesn't want to (and again, sad because she had a strong portfolio). Naima has harmed herself with how she dresses and such, and the hairstyle I last remember her sporting is not really versatile. Joanie, however, has had quite a few ads and work since the show, so while not a top model, she has taken what she was given and has run with it.

But the point is, the models who have succeeded post-ANTM realized that the show was just a stepping stone and that they were going to have to knock on doors to get the jobs. No one was going to hand the jobs to them on a silver platter. My opinion, some of these models might have felt they were going to automatically be successes and when they weren't, they gave up. That's why Elyse, who was on Season One, is still getting work. She realized you had to take the bull by the horns and run with it. I hope anyone who competes in this and other shows realizes this.

To be honest, I didn't see the fawning over Jenah, but while beautiful, she did harm herself because at times I do feel she acted as though she had it already won. But, I don't consider Saleisha ugly, though I do feel she needs to be cognizant of the things I mentioned in a different post. If she doesn't, she could fade into obscurity like Naima.

I do think Sal has a fighting chance, but it will be up to her, especially after her time as the winner is over.

Dang. Just when I thought I was at peace with her winning, I went and read her tvguide interview. Again, she trashes Jenah saying she told the truth when she said she wouldn't want people looking up to someone like her. of course, she gives no explanation as to why she thinks Jenah is a bad role model.

I did love how the guy interviewing her told her that people might say the same thing about her (he brought up the Heather incident for example). of course, she replied that she was edited badly and the other girls did much worse things than her.

At the beggining, he asks if she's getting tired of being congratulated so much and she tells him that *giggles* "Yeah, I am!" *giggles*

The interviewer than asks her about her connections with Tyra and she goes on to say that they never kept in touch since Tzone was tons of years ago. Umm, that may be somewhat true but of course, she forgets that she walked for her show and for ANTM Cycle 6, that wasn't tons of years ago.

I've never been upset with an ANTM winner. My faves have never won but I've always been ok with the winners. Maybe if Saleisha was more upfront about her connections and didn't make herself sound like a saint while trashing all the other girls, I'd gain an ounce of respect for her.

I also love how she thinks she will be the most succesful ANTM winner (again, she manages to trash all the previous winners by saying they haven't accomplished anything). Girl is delusional, fake, and full of herselfl!

I honestly don't know what to say about her anymore. I was defending her and I thought at some extent the comments made by some members were extremely rude but now I understand how the members feel.

I'm disappointed that she has to bash another contestant to defend herself. She's not a saint but she definitely wanted to be perceived like that. The whole interview was disappointing and I'm seriously not feeling good about her at this point.

First off she lies by saying that she had no connections with Tyra after the T-Zone Camp. Does she really think the fans are that stupid? Seriously, my hopes for a great career for her are still alive but in terms of respect for her I'm done. I really don't care about her anymore.

Not to mention she needs to gain the respect of the fans so she can be successful. If people don't like her then they are not going to buy whatever she's selling.

And she needs to be humble. You can't get to the top bashing other people.

I hear you 100%. I was just kinda starting to get over her (bogus imo) win, when I saw this, and I was just really upset by it.

She's said time and time again (and Tyra too) that her cheery personality won her the CG vote and all that jazz, and yet her publicity post show has been evasive and she's attacked one of the stronger competitors she had on show.

You already "won", Saleisha. No need to keep berating Jenah's personality.
