Saleisha - Cycle 9

Just saw the finale. Yeah, once again I'm completely clueless as to why Saleisha is so hated. I came to the conclusion that it's because people knew so far in advance that she was going to win. Because there is absolutely no other reason why she gets called such terrible names.

I agree I prefer Saleisha over half of the previous winners definitely over Eva, Caridee, and Jaslene and of course Naima.
I don't get how people can say Saleisha's portfolio is the weakest of all the winners either, while Saleisha's portfolio was nothing special Naima's was just horrid and she had some downright terrible photos (zodiac, lingerie)

I don't think she is the worst winner. She has a leg up on Eva, Naima and Caridee. She can do more fashion than Eva. Naima in the looks department and Caridee in the poise and elegance department. Saleisha was just so common looking and coming off the high fashion win of Jaslene it was just kind of a let down, especially with the quality of girls being so high this time. It's like they were trying to hammer in that even if your'e not modelesque having a good personality will get you places, and while it's a good message it's just not that true in the fashion world. She went head to head with Bianca during the go-sees, and Bianca won. Now that's saying something.

Since they weren't specific as to what type of advertising, it's easy to assume that any type of national ad campaign should be off limits, but I'm sure Tyra will find a way to skate around it. Now that it's over and everyone can speak freely about it, the fallout from all of this will be interesting.

It will be interesting to see if this 'scandal' goes anywhere. I hope they don't strip Saleisha of the title or anything because that would be terrible.

Oh no. She doesn't deserve it. She fought for the title. Hopefully this will stay like this, a minor thing.

It doesn't matter whether it was a national campaign for Versace or Volkswagen....she worked AS A MODEL on a national campaign for Wendy's restaurants, which is clearly in violation of the eligibility rules.

I say she should forfeit the crown and let Chantal be ANTM.

Apparently, there was more than 5,000,000 people last night who gave a rat's a$$.

.....and no, it's not a minor thing. I agree. Not only is it a MAJOR THING for the 12 other girls in the cycle, all the others who auditioned probably think their spot was wrongly taken by someone who made their way into the competition under a cloak of deceit.

I don't think that wendy's commercial is classed as modelling because she's not exactly modelling a burger. She is simply just sat in a car and i would class that as acting.

Well it its still considered commercial modeling.
But even so, the rules clearly state, any television appearances in any ad.
