I said I think the outcome may have been predetermined. Not because my favorite didn't win, but because of the 'coincidences' I've accounted so far.

As to what to gain, I'd be happy to answer someone who isn't making this personal.

Now, where's that ignore button?

Wasn't she a "receptionist" according to her info details?
All of a sudden, she is a waitress.

It's not uncommon for people to have more than one job in their lifetime.

It looks like a fixed contest, whether it is or not.

There are always going to be people who feel like their favorite was robbed. I don't think my favorite has ever won. However, this is the first cycle that I've truly felt, from the first cruise-ship episode, that the winner had already been decided and that the rest of the show was just a ratings circus show. It may or may not be true, but it doesn't look good. The circumstantial evidence is pretty clear.

I happen to think Saleisha is very pretty. Bad haircut, but that can be fixed. Saleisha can, however, sell tons of fruity lip slicker to prepubescent girls, and that's what's important to Cover Girl.
Wow a rational thought

Please stop with the conspiracy theories. Tyra showing favoritism is one thing, but to honestly believe that Saliesha, Tyra and the producers were just in on this whole big conspiracy to steal the “coveted” title of America’s Next Top Model from the other girls is ludicrous at best. If you wanna be mad at someone, be mad at Tyra not Saliesha. She did nothing more than any of you would've done and that's take advantage of the opportunity to chase her dream. Baffled as to how one can hate a person for that.

Re: Saleisha - Cycle 9

Favoritism sucks. Everybody lies, so it's not a big deal Saliesha did so. But some things are just so obvious...like judges and photographers telling Saliesha that she is "gorgeous" and her not getting offered "cue cards" and her short neck nor her unmodelesque body never being brought up at panel...all those things.
Saliesha is doing the best she could with what she has but with naturals like Heather, Jenah, Victoria, Lisa, Chantal and Sarah, that was simply not enough. Her walk will be completely of no use to her as she is not runway material...it served her only to win over Chantal.
Nigel, the suck up that he is, never failed to throw in a special smile for Saliesha. He is such a bad actor, that Nigelious.

Oh, I agree that she will do just fine in commercial modelling. She is very cute, no doubt, and that's all you need for commercial.

That doesn't matter, integrity is the most important thing. That kind of logic always irks me, just because some people think something is good for others they justify any kind of immoral behavior used in bringing it about. I don't think it was a conspiracy I think it was clear favoritism. Tyra straight up knew the girl beforehand.

Re: Saleisha - Cycle 9

i was thinking about the runway show-
someone had mentioned that saleisha's walk was too 'diva,'
and that there's never going to be another naomi campbell.

too true.
the runway show was near the forbidden city, rooted in tradition...
and saleisha brings out this walk that absolutely didn't fit the show.
shouldn't she have been more... collected, like chantal?

Re: Saleisha - Cycle 9

I loved how, for the final runway, they dressed Chantal in a tight legged Kimono style dress then complained that she took short fast steps. While at the same time glossing over the 'rap video' shoulder movement of Saleisha.

Tyra acknoledged this and clearly told Saleisha that she was moving her shoulders about too much and that she should have been a little bit more like Chanatal who was a bit stiffer.

Then Ms. Jay told Chantal she was a bit too stiff.
