Victoria - Cycle 9

I'm not convinced by what we're being shown that Victoria is argumentative.
And if panel isn't the time for questions, when is? Please, let me know, because panel is the only time the girls meet with the judges, and it's the only time they can be sure to get advice if they are proactive enough to seek it.

I don't really think contestants asking questions fits with the format of panel. It already takes the whole day to get through one elimination! I think the right time to ask would be when they go to a restaurant and one of the judges "unexpectedly" pops up. OR when they have 1-on-1 time with Tyra!

They haven't had that, I don't think it's impolite to ask questions during panel.

I love Victoria, and I love how she's "argumentative".
I think she'll at least make final 4. I really hope so.

If a woman who could have a hand in denying you a $100,000 grand prize thinks you are self concious, and you know that being self concious plays against you, then why wouldn't you try and correct that? If a judge calls you unusual, and you don't know if that's a compliment or a potential detriment, then wouldn't you ask for clarification, so that if it is bad, you'll know to correct it?

If asking questions is not part of the panel format, you think she would have been reprimanded for it and told to stop asking questions. Personally, I think the judges should be pleased that they have a contestant who is proactive about her place in the competition. It shows a desire to grow and become stronger--isn't desire the supposed crux of what makes America's Next Top Model?

the questions aren't bad, it's just the way she says it. and i think that's what they were getting on her about, not for simply asking.

I probably should have quoted RealityLovesMe in my response--I was mostly responding to her assertion that panel isn't the time to ask questions. I do agree, like Nigel said, that Tory needs to work on the charm factor--If only because the judges are so stiff and single minded.

A: I think Victoria has incredible potential. She reminds me of one of those little St. Ives girls who run through the forest. She’s so quiet and calm in person, but she takes amazing pictures. so I guess judging just is making her crazy, or they are editing it like mad ...

but how do we know she isnt trying to be more charming in panel? i mean after the first panel they cut to her going back to her place and she did some sort of cute girly thing with her leg, and in the last episode she went before the panel smileing with her hand on her hip so its obvious shes trying and they are not showing all of it.. its all editing.. and bad at that cause to think she's cold to the panel and argumenative when shes sweet and seems to get along with all the girls, who have been going at each other is really hard to swallow.. As for nigel, he seems to think he's antm's simon cowell and likes to throw thing's out there to make girls he is not into look bad.. in furonda's interview on this site she even said that when her photos were amazing he would then bash her body (no boobs) or go for the personality.. who cares what nigel thinks, he really needs to be thrown off the show cause its getting tiresome to hear him pull things out of his butt when a girls doing good and they arent his cup of tea...
