I think it was more a perception of beauty with Jaeda. Remember when she was all, "I'm the pretty girl in school" and then had her hair cut super short and boyish? I think Tyra was trying to show her that A) you look better and more modelesque with boy hair and B) if we can change your idea of what beauty is, maybe we can mold you into a model. But alas, Jaeda never really transformed and we only got a glimpse of her potential (unlike Nata).

It's similar yes. I think having her win will cause backlash like the death shoot. It'll mostly be brought on by Tyra's reaction to people referring to her as fat when those bikini photos came out and how she then went on rants about America's obsession with being thin and how women shouldn't be afraid to just be healthy. So for her then to go and picking someone that at the very least people would question in terms of whether or not she's naturally thin is just asking for trouble.

I'm still amazed that her weight hasn't been brought up at all. They wouldn't shut up about Elyse's weight and have talked about other girls weight, and yet nothing has been said about Jaslene.

No kidding, that would be terrible. Really, she'd be such a horrible winner, and representation of CG and Seventeen. The girl cannot speak clearly, makes ignorant comments, acts cocky beyond her right, but at least can appeal to the drag queen contigent that might not otherwise wear CG or read Seventeen.

I would prefer her over Renee anyday who basically acts cocky and says ignorant things but twice as much and Brittany who's kind of Fugly in person. Jaslene is not that bad looking and I think she will be an awesome winner and and about her not speaking clearly, the same thing can be said about Natasha and if Danielle can win with her accent, so can Jaslene with some speech classes. Go Jaslene!

I remember having overweight problems like Yoanna and Keenyah, but have they ever questioned someone for not heavy enough. It would be kinda odd to criticize someone for too skinny, even though it's a real problem.

Yeah I Agreed!!! Why not even ONCE did they comment on her body? Even since cycle7? & Yet she's the thinest contestant ever... I Have No Idea!!!

Caridee said in an interview that she's rooting for jaslene "even though (she) knows who wins." Did she say that to throw people off, or did she just screw up? I'm thinking it's the latter. And of course cycle 7 contestants are rooting for Jaslene, they know her.

Caridee said later on that the editors "twisted her words". So it could be right or wrong. Maybe she was ordered by Tyra to say the words were twisted, or the words are really twisted.

There is even an interview saying Caridee didn't like the winner. If this is true then Jaslene is ruled out once again.

But I still think it's not a good thing for Cari to say anything about the winner of cycle 7, it's just not appropiate.

If Brittany was 'kind of Fugly' then Jaslene would be VERY fugly. Anyhow she is FAR from a beauty IMO.

I think Renee, Natasha or Dionne would make the best winners for what the show wants. They want people that are going to promote after the show is over, and they would all 3 be good at that. Especially Natasha and Renee. It's less about modeling and more about who can promote the show and sponsors after the show is over with.

Brittany would fit the sponsors just in terms of looks though. Jaslene doesn't though, she looks nothing like a Covergirl, )could you imagine this girl next to Tiiu?), and doesn't look like someone you'd seen in Seventeen.
