wow. too bad you can't put them up, but i understand. i think the fashion industry is funny. they keep saying that you have to be a certain height, and yet, when some models are too tall, they have to lie about the age? that's weird.

well, they literally label everyone (if you are in the range of 5'10-6'2) as 5'11, or as close to this range as possible.

I am so sorry to say this but I am forbidden by my mom to ever post pictures online. Things happened before and I am not even a model anymore
It's such a dirty business...

I think I will go back to the industry later, not as a model anymore but as a designer.

Anyway, I'm 6'2 (too tall by their standards that's why they lie about my height), mixed (Russian mom + chinese dad), blue eyes, dark brown hair, very pale and very skinny (it's in the genes, my mom eats more than Keenjaw and still managed to stay at 120 at 5'11! and she's 45 now!)

anyway, my point was that these girls are not all 5'11, some are 5'10, soem are over 6, they just put everyone as 5'11...

I remember reading that Hana was 5'11 and I was like no way. she was WAAAAY taller than the other models next to her. Why does the model industry have such a phobia about height and age. If you look good, you look good, the numbers shouldn't matter.

Then there are the random models who for some reason are allowed to break all the rules. Like Kate Moss's comeback. I've seen her in alot of ads recently. (there is a chanel ad where she looks fantastic). But it is like they say to some "oh you're 21, sorry to old to start modeling" but then to Katie she can disappear for a few years, kick a drug habit and have a baby and she is welcomed back with wide open arms. Weird.

I absolutely adore Gemma Ward. I'll admit, at first her look kind of shocked me.. but really, I've grown to love it.

there isn't many models that got her attitude. she frowns, but it's not angry. she is just cool. she's every model's role model.

controversies work, if you want to succeed in this industry. it's actually her waif look and drug addictions that got her famous...

as her comeback, it's totally celebrity power.

wow... thank you! really rarely people find me attractive because of my height, I have been lying about it for ages... sometimes I wish I look normal

Well she definently has the attitude, but her face always looks contorted into this unappealing mash to me. I've only seen a few photos of Kate Moss where I think she looks good.

I'm a so so Kate Moss fan. I don't think lookswise she is remarkable (for example if I passed her on the steet and she wasn't famous I don't think I would notice her, versus say someone like Tyra or Giselle. Even Gemma would give me pause - though more because she as a very unique look vs a drop dead gorgeous look). I have to admit though that Kate takes amazing photos. I found the recent chanel ad that struck me. She looks fantastic.
