Yeah, she gained five pounds in the f/w 08 season because she didn't wanna keep starving herself. Consquently, she only booked 10 shows in NYC, none in London and Milan and only one in Paris. And it was a group walk. I've never especially loved her but it was sad reading about it, nonetheless, especially after she had a fantastic season this time last year.

WOW! FIVE POUNDS?! I don't think it's that much of difference, does it? Oh well, at least she stands for what she thinks is right. I have a question, how does model usually start his/her career? From what I read, usually someone met them in a coffee shop or a mall, and not obvious enough (just like a coincident)..

So how to start modeling career? what to do first? starve yourself? Kidding..

Maybe she will return for Spring/Summer 09. Gets your hopes up.

I checked in Wiki ( I know, bloody me. I just wanted the easy way out to know the substitute of Sasha. ) and it says Linda Evangelista is doing Fall 08. Really?

Oh yah i remember i read somewhere that for next one, PRADA wants to make a more sophisticated ad so that's why they chose linda. maybe because the style is older or something like that. I really like their SS 08's campaign ads. It's so PRADA and so artsy.

I sometimes forget how young these models are. Like Ali Michael is only 18 and she's all but been kicked out of the industry for gaining weight this past season. Poor thing.

Ali was actually the winner of a modeling competition, and she's been fairly popular in the industry but even more popular in terms of controversy due to her recent check in to rehab for anorexia. I guess with Kim Dawson's modeling competition, and ANTM it sort of balances itself out - KD's competition earns an amazing prodigy whom have booked prestigious jobs and fashion shows but is plagued with an awful yet awareness in examples of emaciated body image within this superficial industry, while ANTM gains a model who contradicts those sought-after superficiality yet does not own up to the promise of an actual top model but rather a television personality/part-time model.
