I love Chanel Iman but I notice some people don't like her.

Great post

Duckiies it's so refreshing to hear something like this. We all (myself included) tend to bang on like we're experts when judging the ANTM girls and when truth be told for alot of us on here, most of what we learn is from Tyra anyway! I think I thought I'd like to see what's going on for myself when I noticed the inconsistencies in judging and realised the amount of editing involved.

I'm more interested in the industry as a whole, like who's hot and who's not as opposed to fashion itself. I occasionally pick up a GQ style (obviosuly Vogue is useless for me) but it bores me to tears to be honest.

As the other guys have said, I found models.com to be very good for the basics and learning the names and designers. It's also updated very regularly so you can't go wrong.

I love her too. She's the first model that I recognize on the runway (yeah, not Agyness Deyn). Anyway, it maybe a little bit too late already but I heard the rumor that Chanel Iman stole a shoe from a show and then spotted. I think it's a white shoes but I don't know the designer.

Anyone knows about this and can tell me the story please? Thanks.

I think a lot of people don't like her because she's slightly overexposed. I know I don't particularly like Agyness for that very reason. That, and her supposed original quirky style. Whatever, Laura Hollins.

Well Chanel and Jourdan Dunn are really the two main black teenage models dominating the runways. That's why she's overexposed.

Austria! She's my girl! It sucks that she had trouble with her visa during FW0809.
Didn't Austria represent Dominican Republic in the last FSMOTW?

People don't like her because she looks too commercial.
Some of us prefer a model with a little bit more edge. I think that's one of the reasons why I don't see her featured in many editorials or covers. Also, for the amount of top designers Chanel has walked for, she should of been scoring some major Bluechip campaigns. DKNY and Benetton are ok, but not what she deserves.

So far the models that I've heard are:

Arlenis Pena
Chanel Iman
Jourdan Dunn
Iman
Alek Wek
I heard Veronica Webb and Liya Kebede. So do you know for a fact that Alek and Arlenis are confirmed? I also heard a rumour that Iman will be on the cover with other models.

They're black stilettos straight from the Fall-Winter 2008 YSL runway show LITERALLY. She was pictured wearing them with a Doo.ri dress.
