) She has put on a bit of weight more recently; I think naturally very thin + being busy, the models can perhaps inadvertently get too skinny at times, but she still looks beautiful and not necessarily ill to me. I understand your side, though.Quote:
I personally don't get her 90% of the time, not because she looks mature, but because she's not subtle at all and occasionally creeps me out (I'm thinking of the YSL campaign ). (BTW, I hope I didn't confuse anyone. I meant it was a Chanel spread from an editorial - not that the technicality matters to me.) | ||

| Strangely enough I've always thought Hana looks like my childhood friend, Daria. She is extremely skinny, I agree, but somehow I've never been as repulsed by it as I am by Kate Moss'. There's nothing hard about Hana; she seems the embodiment of sweetness and vulnerability. ![]() Spaghetti, yet. Or anything that sticks to the bones and puts hair on the chest. ![]() ETA: figuratively, of course. *imagines Hana with hairy chest...sprays mind with Lysol* |

| vanity fair cover has anyone seen the cover of vanity fair ( i think it is the april issue). it says something like " the new supermodels" are "eastern european". it has Natalia Vodionova and 2 others i recognize but don't know their names. now while i think all 3 are sucessful high fashion models, i don't think that they've crossed over to being supermodels. one (the blonde one) has been on the cover of gq. but for the most part they aren't well known outside the fashion industry to get first name (or even whole name) recognizition that makes a supermodel. just wanted to see if anyone has an opinion (i haven't read it yet so i'm not sure what they say). |

), Carmen Kass and Karolina K. for the cover shot. Others inside are Hana S (Salome!), Natasha Poly and Eugenia. Also Valentina, Inguna ( I don't know who they are.).Here's 2 outtake pics: ![]() ![]() By the way, it is kind of amusing that, what with celebrities pushing models off the covers of fashion magazines, now models are going to push celebrities off the cover of a celebrity magazine (at least for one month)? This will be the second time Natalia V has been in VF over the last few months...how I her.

| what i found truly amazing about the vanity fair january edition was that some of the photos are more beautiful than anything in Vogue these days. The photo of her on the ledge looking all diaphanous and the photo of her in the red coat with fur trim were totally mind blowingly beautiful. I can relate to your NV love. I'm really excited for the new issue - I love almost all the models mentioned! I don't like Carmen Kass though, and I find Karolina to be a little too cheesy sometimes.

| Oh, now I can't wait to get that Vanity Fair, especially to see Hana! Karolina (though not my type of model) and Natalia look great on the cover. Carmen Kass always appears hungry/tired/unhappy to me? I agree with -ANTM-: Natalia's last appearance in Vanity Fair impressed me more than most of what American Vogue is printing these days. Notably the picture labeled "sheer poetry," though I no longer have the issue, and maybe I'm making this up? ![]() |

| LOL! As if you remembered that. Thats my favourite too! Its the one of her on the ledge kind of doing some ballerina pose and its all windy and ... poetic. Anyways, that cover is nice. Natalia looks different than usual (I love her look, but she always looks like 'Natalia' in photos) in a sort of sexy mature way. Karolina looks nice, no teeth showing and a refreshingly stoic look to her face - no more toothy grin . Carmen Kass continues to elude me, because she looks squinty and her straightforward angle makes her look fat. Why on earth did SHE get a comeback? Supermodel mon derriere.
