The only really young-looking models I like are Jessica Stam, Gemma Ward, and Lisa Cant (so quirky and yes elfin and yes like Alexis!) Caroline Trentini, Cintia Dicker, Lily Cole, Heather Marks... They don't do anything for me at all. I mean, they're cute girls, and I've seen nice pictures of them, but they rarely bring the kind of interest and aspirational sophistication I like to clothes/photographs.

Are you talking about Hana? Maybe that's because you live in Sweden? I don't go to school with anyone who looks like her. Well, Hana is actually from the Czech Republic. I was there last summer - such a beautiful country, and many of the girls were very pretty, but I still think Hana is special. (Her height and sparseness certainly make her different, in any case.)

I don't know, but she does look tired to me. I think her hard lifestyle is beginning to show. Did you see the last issue of W? She's still an amazing model, but then I look back at my copy of The Kate Moss Book, which was published in 1997 (no longer in print), and I think she's lost something more than years.

I dunno about Kate. I mean, sometimes she looks gorgeous and sometimes its like the bookers picked her because she's Kate Moss. She is in a lot of campaigns that she really shouldn't be - the idiot that put her alongside Daria and Gisele was... an idiot. I don't like her a lot of the time.

As for Ai, Ai means love in Mandarin Chinese as well, but I guess I just don't get the cult following she has. I personally am a member of the cult, but I don't get WHY there are so many of us. I started liking her because she's Asian

As for Hana, I think she's LOVELY. I love her look, its such a throwback to older varieties of models. She's kind of got a 'tennis nymphette' look to her, I think.

I really love Daria though, I find her face intruiging!

Cintia Dicker is beautiful! She still looks very young which is limiting, but I love her freckles.

Well, she's certainly the polar opposite of Devon, isn't she? I like her too, and not just because I'm Asian as well. I don't think Ai's that popular, but I can understand it if she is. She's like a Goyo bijinga crossed with a greyhound - lean, elegant, impossibly remote and indubitably Japanese in her beauty. Her figure is like cut crystal.



CCL, that is too cute. I love Natalia's from-rags-to-riches story, her glamour and her va-va-voom siren appeal. Plus all models should be photographed happily stuffing food into their mouths at least once in their lifetime.

ETA: Hmm. For some reason the image won't show. But you know which one I'm talking about - it's the small pic in the middle.

ETA2: I think I've mentioned this before, somewhere else, but I really, really like Hana. I wouldn't exactly want to be reincarnated as her (if there even is such a merciful God! ), but she's just so...GUH. Sometimes her face looks a little drawn though.

I think that's it. When it comes to Caucasian models, we have so many different beautiful girls to choose from. I personally don't like Jessica Miller or Daria, but no one can say they're not pretty: If they were the only two Caucasian models on the runways, I'm sure I would feel differently. (Are you Chinese/Asian, btw? Or was nausicaa's "as well" referring to me?)

What makes her special to me is the sweetness and delicacy of her features and an adorable smile. What un-subjectively differentiates her is the fact that she is extremely tall and thin, even for a model. (A lot of people say she's too thin. Assuming it's healthy, I don't mind; she still has really nice proportions and grace. It does make me sad when people say they want her body, though, as that's just unrealistic for basically everyone.)

I'm Caucasian, but I speak Mandarin and a bit of Cantonese. Don't ask. ! And actually, my Jessica love varies from picture to picture - I mainly fell in love with her because of the video of her you can see by clicking here and her Numero cover. She's kind of like a softer version of Daria's looks, quite honestly.

Its the blondes that do it for me though
