i wish her spread was soo much more pictures, it was so cheap. She spent 14 weeks in a competition just for 2 pages and three pictures.

Nole Marin in his critiques of some of the models would state that the picture looked like it was just a photo of a pretty girl...

The more I see Eva the more I see where this applies to her. Looking at the modeling photos. I sometimes see modelesque presence, but most of the time I see a pretty girl posing for a camera.

Does this mean that Eva does not have a future as a top model? Like Paris Hilton and Anna Kournikova (sp???), I would argue that Eva is getting by mostly on her charisma and celebrity status, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Too bad for Tyra she created exactly the opposite of what she intended to create, another celebrity to steal magazine space from the true models.

Eva is no model to me, I don't take her seriously as a model and I don't expect to see her on runways at ALL.

I've been under the impression that with the last two cycles, Tyra has been looking for a celebrity/spokesmodel rather than a real model. In that sense, Eva has been a rousing success.

Perhaps she changed her mind, but I remember her taking the position that the magazine covers were being dominated by actresses (which is rather ironic given her acting jobs) and that she was trying to get models back on the covers. Now I don't interpret that to mean they can't be a celebrity, but that modeling leads to celebrity and not the other way around.

Of course she has other goals like bringing different sizes, heights, facial types to the industry and I have also heard her look for spokesmodel types. Perhaps she wants such a mish mash that the end result is schizo.

I think that was her stated goal at first (including in episode 1 of season 3), but she seems to have backed off from it. I think that impression is heightened for me in part because of the clown school, lack of fashion application photo shoots and challenges in the last two seasons. Also looking at who was chosen the last two times (ie, I think there were better models than the winners for both cycles - and I actually liked both Eva and Naima, so it's not a personal thing).

And the move to LA hasn't helped At. All.

I can't wait to see what direction the next cycle takes. I'm afriad my hope is in vain, but I'd dearly love to see it move back towards fashion (and NYC).

I think Eva is GREAAAT! She is a MODEL to me because she has the ability to be versatile.

She can do swimwear, beauty, fashion, catalog, editorial and so that leads me to know she has what it takes!
