Eva's height works against her in many ways. On the other hand, she has that certain "something" that makes people want to watch her so we'll just have to wait and see how things pan out for her. Devon Aoki doesn't seem to have any problems with getting runway work; it all depends on what designers would be willing to book her. All it would take is for a major designer to absolutely fall in love with her and she'll be golden!

ANTM: I know in the past that if you had a major contract with a company (ie. Covergirl, Lancome, Calvin Klein, etc) depending on what sort of contract you have you're not allowed to really model for anyone else. Is that still in effect? Because if part of that contract stipulates that Eva will be the "covergirl face" for a year (but can't pursue other contracts) that can actually work against her. Here's hoping that her contract leaves her free to pursue other work.

I really wish Tyra hadn't given her that hideous haircut in the makeover episode. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I think she would rock a longer style, and it would soften up her face a bit. What was Tyra trying to do honestly? Bring back the jerry curl!? Those went out for a damn good reason Ms. Banks

Oh God, I thought I was the only one who thought the little blonde afro was the most hideous hairstyle to hit ANTM in a long time.

Eva is 19 of course she's going to have that baby doll look which I think is whats definitely always "in" for her age group. Now as she gets older I believe she will be able to maintain a classic beauty look. Look at Amanda, she's 25 and I think she could definitely pull classic beauty off right now, but could she really pull off that "happy happy bubbly" look? In my opinion I don't think she could. I would want someone who could pull off both bubbly and classic in thier modeling careers.

A 6 footer who looks like Christy Brinkley could have won ANTM, and there would be no guarantees that she'd be a "top model" either. There are no guarantees one way or another, regardless of who wins.

I don't think anyone is under the illusion that anyone who is a contestant or winner on ANTM is destined to be a "supermodel". Does that mean they can't have a perfectly decent career? Heck no.

That being said, Eva has a lot of qualities that interest people, especially the ANTM fan base (a demographic that is very interesting to cosmetic companies, certain clothing manufacturers and stores, etc.) Wednesday's finale episode had the highest ratings of any ANTM program, and from what I understand, ANTM gets very, very good ratings. Some of the folks watching were ANTM fans generally, some were there for Amanda and Yaya, but if the Cover Girl of the Week polls are any indication, and the UPN polls are any indication, *a lot* of the people watching were Eva fans, a portion of which will probably be interested to watch her in TV interviews, see her in ads, look out for her in any runway shows she does in the future. If a designer or clothing company wants to attract the interest of that particular demographic, putting her in their show or running an ad may well be a great way of doing it.

So if you as a fan want to promote Eva or indeed any other ANTM contestant, send Cover Girl an email or a letter letting them know how much you like her. Better yet, include a note along with your order for WetSlicks. Send a note to People thanking them for putting the pictures of her in the magazine, and let them know you specifically bought the magazine to get that picture. Write a letter to the clothing manufacturer you think she would be great for telling them what a great spokesperson she would be for them. Send a letter to Ford Models asking them if you can get a picture of her. Make your interest in her (or any of the other girls, once they have secured representation) glaringly apparent to those who have the ability to get her work.

She looks awful! She looks cute in the red-dress shot, but cute is not going to do it. She had so many good pics in the competition. I really expected more.

Well, to be fair, every girl in the show had some good shots, some bad, and a few had GREAT shots. The clothing in the People shot was less than spectacular, the makeup probably was too, the hairstyles certainly were far from great. They were cramming three photos in a very small space, and for all we know, they had her pose (or selected poses) to accomodate that cramming, rather than choosing more "spectacular" shots. I'd be willing to bet they were going for having a couple of different "looks" and didn't particularly care how "good" or "artistic" the results were.

Exactly. If Eva goes the way of Adrianne and Yoanna (who were also promised stardom), all the flurry of arranged "celebrity" will die off soon.
