| 7/17 Show Discussion **Spoilers** Is this show SUCH crap we're done with it here even before NBC is? I'm currently seeing it in "Off the Air", even though its got many weeks left to go. I anticipate loathing most of what's on screen, but I may watch BETWEEN other better shows... At the very least I can understand FORT not wanting to write recaps anymore. It would be a HUGE waste of time.

| Re: 7/17 Show Discussion **Spoilers** I was thinking that the crappiness of the show was the reason for the move to the off the air section. Perhaps a response to Kashif and boy shakira making it thru to the top 20 when real talent (e.g., blonde magician and certain singers) were dismissed. I cannot fathom what the judges are thinking sometimes. The show is bad, but my 7 year old likes to watch it so I watch it with him. Even he says that it is not a very good show, but there are a couple acts that he likes. And, he loves so you think you can dance so it tides him over til Wednesday. After tonight, I liked Sideswipe, Irwin, Hatcher and Glamazons. Very disappointed in magician James, who was just really really fantastic in Vegas. So about 8 minutes of entertainment in a 90 minute show. |

| Re: 7/17 Show Discussion **Spoilers** Kevin James was really disappointing tonight. His act last week had us gasping, and this one was junior high talent show-level. I thought the Glamazons had done better in the past, too. Butterscotch was really good tonight, and Jonny Come Lately is pretty good, too, although like Piers said, somewhat derivative. I really like Julienne; she's more "real" than so many young singers I've seen on the show. *coughBiancaRyancough* Ironically, tonight was the first time that I saw a spark of entertainment in Kashif, although not enough to merit his being in the top 20 (I liked the 3 Redneck Tenors too, Krom.) |

| Re: 7/17 Show Discussion **Spoilers** I can see why the FORT doesn't want to "cover" this anymore - writing recaps and such. There is just not much interest. They really lost me putting Kashif, Glamazons, and Boy Shakira through. Is it for controversy? To make sure the others get the votes? I don't get it. My fav Kevin James blew it tonight. His first two acts were amazing - unique, never seen it before, unlike the other magician escaping from a water tank (seen that) - and this was nothing!!! So disappointed. I guess Julienne was the best tonight IMO. And yeah there were so many better acts than many put into the top 20 - red neck tenors were pretty good, the other magicians, some dancers... Not loving this season at all.
