Phil did an interview with TV Guide at the beginning of the season, and he said that people ask him all the time to "eliminate them". He says he's never once been asked to tell someone they were first to arrive.

I was wondering, John, whether do you interview Phil Keoghan at the end of the season? I mean, it will great to interview Phil and find out what he thinks of the racers and the show and stuff. It will be a great idea right, everyone?

That was so out of character for the Phil he shows on the show. I think Phil is probably more like that than he shows. Very funny!
