Peter & Sarah - Friends

Peter and Sarah are both Iron Man competitors who have a long history of teamwork. Sarah recently became the first female with an artificial leg to complete the Hawaii Iron Man Triathlon. Peter works as a clinical prosthetist and travels the country speaking to amputees and consulting for prosthetic legs. Both are out to win and eager to show the world that a disability will not stop them from reaching their goals.

This is my pick so far, hopefully that's not the normal curse that it turns out to be though. It seems like I've seen him before on some of the Discovery Health shows that I watch, very familiar looking. Big big

from me though as pre race favorites. (and darned if they aren't both very good looking to boot)

Not getting much of a vibe out of Peter, but I'm definitely liking Sarah.

the whole "iron man" thing is so overblown. any team that comes in bragging about their athletic skills usually ends up at the short end of the stick pretty early in the race, because 1: their either really good at physical challenges but are mentally "challenged" and hit a wall when it comes to anything more cerebral than monopoly. or 2:they catch a bad break, miss a bus/cab and fall so far behind everyone else that they cant catch up.

I just walked through the living room and glanced up at the television and there was a girl talking about running the Iron Man and that she's an amputee. She was blonde and named Sarah, so it's possible it was the same girl. The show I saw this on was on Animal Planet, "The Most Extreme". The episode title was "Appendages."

Considering that she is the first amputee to have completed an Iron man race, the woman you saw was definitely her.
