In that they knew who it belonged to, yet refused to return it or tell the owner that they had found it, qualifies as stealing. The money belonged to Team Metal not the Twins. It is a cut throat race, but at that point and under those circumstances and for the reason they gave - to mess with Team Metal's race - the twins (along with Trey and Lexie) showed a lack of moral character that may be a karma bite in the future.
This made me so sad because I enjoyed the Twins exuberance and Trey and Lexi's quiet confidence. Now, I won't be able to watch them with any sense of cheering them.

Oh, Maybaybie, I missed that post but I agree with that. It tends to be in our nature as fans though. It's like if a fan fav was ganged up upon and unfairly eliminated, we'd all be throwing tantrums, but if it was someone we all hated we'd be having one big party.
For me, they clearly knew that the money belonged to one of the teams-they might have even known that it belonged to the rockers. The twins deliberately shushed Trey and Lexi when they were trying to alert other teams that some money was found, then bribed the couple to keep their mouths shut. That's stealing in my book. I'm incredibly disappointed that both teams weren't penalized for their actions. It was just as much a hinderance as the season where the team hid the bike pumps, and they got a penalty.
How great were the locals though? I don't remember exactly what the one guy said, but something along the lines of "While you're here, we're going to take care of you like you're one of us." That was incredible.
The twins are vile. Taking the money and then giggling and gloating about it, while forcing another team to beg in probably the most impoverished country in the world, yup, that's some classy behaviour right there. And the Texans can hang their heads in shame too for going along and taking half the money. Simply disgusting.
The globetrotters got a penalty for accidentally moving someone else's backpack, and these +@**£*£ get nothing?
Loved the rockers and I still adore the chipmunks. I wasn't sorry to see the monster truck duo go, and really could have done without Rob's dancing..... yikes.
What crawled up Ryan's butt? He's just mean to everyone.

It's also NOT the first time any of them lost money. Now, IF the rockers were still there and asked if anyone had seen their money and the two teams lied? - yeah, I can see a problem with that. But the teams losing money or the like and having to beg/barter (for free rids) has happened, and both are legal.
And - to be fair too - the two teams could've been assessed the penalty regardless but it just not be shown because there was no chance anyone was going to pass them.
Should a team attempt to find the owner if possible? - Yes, and the twins are at fault for that and the Texans are at fault for taking a bribe.
However, I have to say that the fault lies squarely on the shoulders of the team who doesn't check to ensure that everything is sealed, attached to them and with them at all times.
Well, all I can hope is that karma kicks in and the twinnies and texans get what they deserve. It was the rockers fault for not keeping better track of their money, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a despicable thing for those teams to do. Personally I would feel really embarrassed and ashamed if I were them.

The Twisted Sisters were wrong because they themselves acknowledged that what they were doing was wrong! Even as they hatched their plot. My judgement is not required because they have judged themselves.
However, my primary disappointment is reserved for Trey. He should never have allowed the girls to persuade him to abandon his principles. Grow a backbone Trey!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.
