The whole point is to be smart enough to use it on the best competitors. The "blind" part of it is so that if the people that you are trying to eliminate don't know who is out to get them. Imagine it this way...if this past week's couple hadnt been sent packing because of the elimination and the next time a blind u-turn came up they used it on someone they might not be positive who u-turned them so they would use it on the wrong couple. See, it could be really fun to watch that part of the intrigue. I think that is why TAR made it blind.
