Boo that the time my special team is on top it ends up being NE.
I told my husband the whole episode that they hadn't done one in a while so they were due and they do love their eye candy girls.

    Re: Amazing Race 23 Pool

Pikachu Not that in matters in scores because all racers got 5 points, but I noticed that the finishing order is wrong for this leg. Maybe since it was a non elimination leg you don't change it from the previous week. Being my first pool I don't know how it works, and please don't think I am complaining because I don't know how you manage all these pools and remain sane. I am only bringing it up because I remember how happy Leo and Jamal were when they finished first and Phil showered them with champagne before revealing that they had won a trip to Paris. They took such pride because they won the leg in Abu Dhabi, a place with cultural significance to them.

I remember when picking them for my pool wondering how well they would do because they seemed so off the wall. They are doing a lot better than I first suspected.

    Finishing Order

    Leo and Jamal - 1st
    Jason and Amy - 2nd
    Travis and Nicole - 3rd
    Tim and Marie - 4th
    Ally and Ashley - 5th
Nicky and Kim - 6th (last with a non elimination)

Thanks for catching that, Jaceegirl. I had to go back and check Wikipedia since it seems like ages since the last episode, not just a week, but it wasn't a To Be Continued round, it was an actual pitstop, so I did overlook the finishing order points. I'll correct the scoresheet and post the results. Thanks so much for letting me know!

It won't be difficult to fix .

These are the corrected scores for the November 10th episode. I wish I could blame the error on it being Monday when I did the scores, however I was off work Monday for Veteran's Day and did the scores Tuesday so I have no excuse.

    Re: Amazing Race 23 Pool

Thanks so much Pikachu - I really didn't think scores were going to be affected since it was a non elimination leg and not being familiar with the rules of how the pool works - I just wanted to make mention of Leo and Jamal finishing first. You never have to apologize - as I mentioned I don't know how you stay sane running all these pools. Just being in this one has been a lot of fun and wish I were in a lot more of them. Next season for sure.

This is the best we've done, like, ever. As long as I place in the top 10 I'll have won.

    Re: Amazing Race 23 Pool

Thank you Jaceegirl for noticing and Pikachu for fixing things because that change catapulted me from 5th to 3rd place!!! This is my best result from all the pools I'm entered in here. Let's see if I can keep it up and not go tumbling back down.

Just out of curiosity, since I'm not in the Pool (didn't discover this board in time):

What is the reason why a Continuation leg would not award points based on arrival?

Because coming in first on a continuation leg does not guarantee that the team will be safe when they make it to the pitstop on the next episode. We've seen teams place high on the to be continued episode and then totally screw up the following episode, come in last, and get eliminated.

To me, it ain't over until they're standing on the pitstop mat so the order they make it to the end point on the continuation leg is unimportant.

Also, sometimes on those to be continued episodes, they don't even show some of the teams making it to the continuation point so I would have no way of knowing which order they arrived there until I saw the following episode.

    Ah, ok.

During this season, the Continuation leg was more of a Non Elimination leg with the catchup right after, but I guess it can be different in different seasons.

But yeah, you got a point with the information not being available until next episode. That makes sense.
