    Re: Amazing Race 23 Pool

Congratulations to Fanny for leaping to first place. Also great job Florimel for getting the 2nd highest weekly score. Great job by all the other teams for their accomplishments. Since I already had to bring in my reserve of Leo and Jamal and they finished sixth this week I wish I had chosen Tim and Danny or Nicky and Kim. I have a feeling I underestimated them and believe they will do well. Kind of bittersweet since plane problems lost it for Chester and Ephraim, and after they came in first last week I thought I might be okay. I really will miss them.

P thank you for doing all of this and it definitely makes the AR even more amazing then it normally is.

I assumed that since only one of my teams left so far, I could sneak into the top half or so. But no. Wooden spoon guy.

Just have to wish my Red Sox good luck in the World Series. I picked my TAR team due to their Boston Strong shirts and named my team the same. Go Boston!!!

Maybaybie,When I was a child, I spent 11 fantastic summers at camp in beautiful southern Maine, but I was born and raised in Manhattan and my team remains the Yankees.

Ditto on the team...but not the name because it was already taken ;-) (I live about 10 miles north of Boston.)

My Dad is a Native New Yorker and a Yankees fan as well....it makes for some good family rivalries around here! :-)

Maybaybie I live 80 miles from Boston and have spent my life as a huge Boston Red Sox fan. I go way back when we could go to Fenway and sit in the bleachers for $5 bucks. No reservations required. I absolutely love Fenway Park and back then we spent a lot of time there. I use to listen to the Red Sox by radio since they weren't always on the TV like today. When they were out on the West Coast even with the time difference my ears would be glued to my radio late into the night and when it went into overtime I would go into work blurry eyed. When they played day games I talked my bosses into letting me bring my radio to work and play it low. I do admit to giving out some very loud cheers during the game when something really good happened. It was okay because everyone knew what a huge fan I was. In other words I was a fanatic! Still am, but technology has made it a lot easier to watch them, but a lot more expensive to go to a game or get tickets for them. When I still worked I worked with a guy who had season tickets and when he couldn't go he would sell them and that was such a treat because they were right at first base in the front row. He has since moved to FL so I have no more connections. So now I watch on TV and am a nervous wreck watching them and hoping for the best outcome. Go Red Sox!!!!

What a great idea of how you picked your team for the AR and good luck to both teams!
