She just lost it more often. Some people have a lot of trouble dealing with that kind of stress. It's not an admirable thing, and it's something she should work on, but it doesn't make her a terrible person overall. And she does seem to get over it fairly quickly and recognize that she was over the top, and she and Brian are able to go on from there. Someone like Ericka needs a Brian, who can stay calm in the face of her craziness. My husband is like that. I actually think they are a nice couple and wish them well.
I totally agree. I think Brian balances her out very well. She's a lucky woman and I hope she realizes that. Obviously one of her weakenesses is that they loses control too easily. Thankfully, Brian knows how to keep his cool. Her speech at the end was very touching, especially Brian getting all teary-eyed. Her family should be ashamed of themselves letting skin colour get in the way of accepting someone (who seems like a great husband and person overall) for who they are.

We discussed the name of the casino at work today. None of us would have known Monte Carlo, but then we do not go to Las Vegas or gamble. How else would a person know this?
This leg of the race was Ericka and Brian's to lose and they did not disappoint me, they lost. She cannot handle stress, I have a boss like that and it drives me NUTS!!

I wonder why Time Warner doesn't have The Amazing Race on demand. Oh well, I'm just happy that the brothers didn't win. I wish that the Globetrotters had made it to the end. They were so much fun to watch.

The question was the most famous casino in Monaco. Monte Carlo is well-known as a district of Monaco, like Brooklyn is a district of New York and Wembly is a district of London. The casino at Monte Carlo is world-famous and is where James Bond (the most famous of literary and film spies) did all his gambling. That's how a person would know this.

While Megan and Cheyne were not my favorites, they were my favorite and most deserving of the F3 to win. I especially loved the fact that they got along as well as they did. And they only seemed to have a conflict that 1 time - when Megan was upset with Cheyne in regard to how he treated the Globetrotters, I believe.
I did feel bad for Wayne Newton when the brothers did not know who he was. He was on Dancing with the Stars not too long ago. It looks like he's had even more plastic surgery since then. Sorry, but he looks pretty scary at this point.
I'm not a gambler, but I thought the Monaco / Monte Carlo connection was fairly easy. If you've ever heard of Monaco, Princess Grace, her husband or kids, Monte Carlo is always mentioned in the same sentence.
Erica was not as bad as certain others who have been on this show, but that's not saying much about her.
She does throw tantrums like a child when things don't go her way and, while I understand the pressure of a race like this, she showed that awful side of hers far too often. It's kind of like when some people get obnoxious when drunk, but insist it was just the alcohol effects.
I tend to think Brian picks up the slack for her far too often.
And I do agree with the posters who've said that Erica's mother should absolutely love Brian for putting up with her overbearing daughter.

Her meltdown on the Cirque de Soleil challenge was simply unbelievable. Her behavior on this show isn't good PR for the "Miss America" pageant either, but then I'm not a fan of pageants.

I just don't care to see stuff like that on this or any other show that I watch. Sure, a little drama can be entertaining, but I wonder if these people realize that they are glaring examples of "how not to be"?

What I loved about the Finale was that they were able to edit in tension and keep the story flowing the whole show.

Yes, Erika was frustrated when she couldn't snag the bouquet. With a million dollars at stake I would have been, too. They all had a chance at the counting tables, though. Too bad the brothers squeaked it out before Brian/Erika. That must have been frantic time for them.

I am so amazed by Meghan/Cheyne. I think I am going to elevate them to god-like status. She walked down that building face like she had done it before. Then, even though they had a time trying to figure out the Monte Carlo clue, they counted the chips correctly the first time. So much edited drama (LOL) with them searching for the correct gate into Wayne Newton's property. I love that they made it seem like the brothers were right on their tail...NOT. GOOD SHOW! I enjoyed it very much.

P.S. Two seasons ago Design Star re-designed two rooms at the ranch. Looks like Wayne is open to leasing his property to Reality Shows.

Sorry, but I do not watch James Bond movies..never have liked them. I know about Brooklyn, but not Wembly...call me stupid I guess. I have never needed to know it in my 50 plus years.

Yeah, it just boils down to different experiences and different interests. I haven't met anyone yet who wasn't uninformed about "something".

Just because Cheyne did the task with his eyes closed is no reason to call him a girl.
