if you are going to use a Yield or a U-Turn, you need to use it against a team that is behind you. All of the teams that are ahead of you have already passed it and moved on to the next task. And it makes more sense to use it if you are near the pack of the racers, because it might actually save you from getting eliminated. It also makes the most sense to U-Turn someone that is in last or almost last because then (unless it is a NEL) they'll be eliminated and won't be around to exact revenge. The U-Turn is part of the race, just as the Yield was and the Fast Forward used to be. I preferred the Fast Forward, but I think that feature involved setting up a whole other challenge, so a lot of production time and work, whereas with the U-Turn or Yield they only need to work with the challenges (or an hourglass) without adding more set-up for the show. If you're in the front of the pack, you won't need it, so why risk ticking off another team that might still be around to be angry? If you're in the back of the pack and worried this might be your last leg, then wouldn't you feel silly if you didn't use it and ended up out of the race. Like Survivor's James would feel if he goes home with two immunity idols in his bag - maybe you should use the advantages that the game provides. Just my thoughts.

I do hope that karma does indeed come back to bite them in the behind at some point very soon.

The use of an option like a U-Turn or a Yield has its place in the race, but targeting the team (intentionally or not) that is already in last place wasn't the best use of strategy, IMO.
The last team is the perfect team to do this to, there are too many chances someone closer to your team can catch up and pass you so U-Turn the team farthest behind.

If TAR provides legitimate strategies such as Yields and U-Turns and your team decides to use them there is nothing underhanded or sneaky about using them. The only problem it causes is alot of stress and negativity to the member of the team who does not agree with the decision. That team will bring disaster on itself with internal conflict, karma has nothing to do with it.

Ok, it's official, I can't stand the brother/sister team. He's an ass, always yelling at her to get her head in the game and move faster. Bah. Hope they suffer a big fall and go from first to last next week. Love to see how he handles that! That being said, I didn't blame them for busting their butts to get to the matt first and beat out Jen and whats-his-name. This isn't kindergarden, you don't have to take turns! Get over it.

My love for the goths (primarily Vyxsin) grows. She was lovely, tearing up like that and showing so much empathy for the people living there. I also continue to love TK and Rachel. Hope they can continue to stay calm but I doubt it.

The blondes? I'm so over them, not that I was ever into them. I can understand U-turning the team right behind you if you figure that you're the last two teams, but they had to have known Lorena and Jason were still on their way don't you think? Whatever, could be that karma will bite them for it, but I am thinking the dissent caused by the one girl questioning the move made primarily by the other will cause more damage. That, or the bus they show in the previews!

Of course, I liked Jason and Lorena this episode. Loved the way they looked at each other in the cab on the way to the market, and how he said not to worry about it they would make their million some other way and it's not important considering what others are facing. Then he went and said that he thought two people could be more committed without marriage, and that "being free" could make them closer because they choose to be together and I thought "WHATEVER! Dude!" Lorena, don't be dreaming of the big diamond ring and white dress honey because it ain't never coming.

In fact it would be wrong not to use them .. after all there can only be 1 winning team
