2/17 TAR 22 Premiere Discussion **West Coast Spoilers**

AND they're off....to Bora Bora! The first team to arrive at the mat will receive not one, but two Express Passes.

The threads will reopen after the west coast airing of the show.

No, I did an early thread start again as I didn't know if I would be on the computer closer to the start time of 8PM Eastern.

A commercial just came on saying "three teams will quit" before the first episode ends!

I'm willing to bet everything that by "quit" they mean quit a challenge and take a penalty.

Two express passes? I think that's a little excessive. Maybe if the first two teams each got one, but for one team to get two express passes gives them one heck of an advantage for winning just one leg.

    Still, three quitters? Sad.

From what I know that's not what will happen. I'll let the episode explain it before I spoil anything else.

The only way I could see three teams actually quitting is if there were some kind of series of freak occurrences that resulted in three teams being unable to go on for some reason. But I wouldn't view that as quitting. I mean, if someone got injured and couldn't go on, then I wouldn't see that as quitting so much as just having to take a DQ for reasons beyond the team's control. Quitting implies the team had an option to quit or go on, but if someone gets injured, it's not a choice. It just is what it is.
