I didn't even notice the firefighters until the end.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Hmmm....interesting. I wonder if they would have been allowed to do this. There's probably some rule that says once you "officially" quit a task and get your next clue then you aren't allowed to go back, but it's an interesting thought.

What an interesting idea. I wonder if they could go back. Other teams have been allowed to go back when they moved on to other clues, or gotten other clues on accident, but this is a bit different. Once they officially quit it might have been too late as they might have already started cleaning up the sand castle area and maybe there wouldn't be something to go back to, unlike when there is a mistake and they know there will be a returning team.

I wanted to like those guys but 'pride goes before a fall' quite literally as it turns out in this case.

TAR is still my favorite reality show. I don't love the U-turn concept at all since they incorporated it. I still prefer when it came down to how well each team did individually. It was always one of the things that set this show apart for me. However, it still remains my favorite and I'm thrilled it's back on.

They had to officially quit in order to get the next clue to the finish line, so no, they couldn't have gone back.

Having said that, I wouldn't have quit. The others could, but I would keep digging. 4 hours is a long time and they would definitely have found a clue before that. It was a dumb decision fueled by heat and exhaustion, and I bet the firefighters regret it.

Bora Bora was stunning. I told Mr. S that we have to go there. It's definitely on the bucket list. He has been to Fiji before, and said BB is very expensive though, so maybe we'll make do with a similar island...as long as the water looks like that, I'll be good.

The newlyweds are like cartoon villains to me, at this point. Do you really need to tell us how unlikable you are? I have more respect and liking for the sly villains who are quietly evil, not the ones who bray about how they don't have friends and try to be mean. Whatever. pfffft.

I agree about starting on the row closest to the water. I think I would have run in and dunked myself a few times too. Also, why did nobody have a hat??

Loved that the one hockey guy is missing a tooth. Too funny.

One couple -the guy had the hat on, and he was on the sidelines, not out there digging! I kept yelling , give him your cap! maybe that was the firefighter I haven't got everybody sorted yet.

I also noticed the hockey player with the tooth missing( and still hitting on the girls) LOL

Oh yeah, those hockey brothers weren't wasting any time with the country singers. Reminded me of Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood. LOL

Two of the female teams mentioned something about looking for love, or not looking for it but if it happens, great....makes me wonder if we'll have a hook up mid race?

So I watched Joey's youtube recap of his impressions of the episode. He's... very energetic, alright...

At any rate, one of the things he talked about at some length was the sand castles. He said that they hadn't read the clue carefully enough and were (as we all saw) just knocking the castles over instead of digging under them. It sounds like he said that the group all realized around the same time that they hadn't been digging deeply enough, and everyone knew that they'd have to start going through castles that had already been checked again, which leveled the playing field between those who had been there a while and those who had just arrived.

From what I know most Youtube celebs are "overly energetic" and verge on annoying. Kevjumba was on TAR 17 and I'd say he's probably more tolerable.
