Did the GT take R & C's fanny pack or did they pick it up and move it to the cabana? I can't wait for Christina to be eliminated. She was just so whinny. The Globetrotters did not move their pack with malace. It seems to me that if there was a problem the producers should have dealt with it at the time... not waited for Christina to whine to Phil.
Okay I love FORT's casino, but I really am not very good. If anyone wants to donate their FORT $$ I would gladly accept http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forum....php?do=donate

I think he's back to spelling it that way for his father (I read that I think somewhere hear). Kind of puts a dent into Kynt/Vyksin and the whole goth angle, but oh well. I'm liking them more this time than before. TAR12 wasn't a big favorite of mine with memorable teams, so I guess them being the only stand outs kind of grated on my nerves.

I agree that the teams seem off their game this time. The Cowsboys can't navigate worth beans but thankfully can still come through during the roadblocks and detours. Definitely appeared that the son gave up way before the father. I'll miss Mike and Mel!
That's the way it looked, which was surprising. The dad seemed to be really getting into it and giving it his all while his son yelled at him to come out. I am surprised as well that it would look like most of these teams are racing for the first time, considering the mistakes they're making that you think they'd learn from. I have horrible direction perception, so I'd probably always stink at navigation.

One of his mirrors had the glass completely shattered off. The mean red offered him money but she wouldn't have had enough to give him probably to fix the mirror (I've taken a mirror or two off in my time). It wasn't worth calling the police but the guy didn't speak English really and so he probably couldn't have figured out how to share insurance information with the reds on his own (and vice versa ).
I only caught a quick glimpse and it looked like the mirror was just dinged. I don't blame the guy for calling the police. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry and maybe production just stepped in and gave him money. Might have been easier for them to communicate than the reds (still can't tell who's who).

Last night's episode seemed weird in a lot of aspects, so it wouldn't have surprised me if Ron/Christina's bit was staged. I think in the past when events have happened and when a team does something potentially rule breaking Phil's informed before they get there. It's possible the GT got the penalty on the mat but they saved the news for when R/C checked in for dramatic reasons. I don't know if I agree they deserved a penalty after all since they didn't leave the detour with it as I originally thought.

Are the fanny packs supplied by AR? If they are, why don't they just assign a color to each team so they can't possibly mix up their packs?

Because then no one would misplace them or grab the wrong one and we wouldn't have all the drama!

I'm not finding the Elimination Station videos this time around on the CBS site. Are they not available for TAR 18?

I am wondering if they originally got to the pitstop happy and smiling (as most do) and they then refilmed it and asked her to be stonefaced so Phil could ask her what was wrong and they could impose the 30min penalty on the GTs. It almost sounded like a Phil voiceover when he said that...also wouldn't production have to check into it and look at tapes and make sure that was what actually happened before just taking Christina's word for it? It almost seems like it was edited more for the benefit of the viewing audience than for anything else.

And yes, I also think that this race feels weird. Normally one team comes to dominate the race, and becomes the team to beat. As somebody else said, though, it feels like these teams are racing for the first time since they're so clueless. Although I still like the cowboys, I'm really disappointed at how badly they're doing. Maybe they need another challenge where they can lasso something. (That's still one of my favorite lines from AR. "I'll never live this down for missing that first throw" after getting it the second time, and when everybody else on that challenge took forever to get it done.)

I liked Kent's name spelled the other way. Although I don't like the Goth look, at least his name was unique.

They showed two shots of a side mirror - one looked like it just had a bit of a ding at the bottom, the other had the glass completely removed and you could see the black innards of the mirror base. I remember because they showed the little ding first and I didn't think it was a big deal and then they showed the more severe damage shot. Maybe the little ding was on the women's mirror.

Count me in on those who think Christina overreacted. I would have been peeved too but how far exactly up the mountain were they? I wouldn't have necessarily expected them to trek back. They left it where Ron would clearly find it, which I thought was ok. How much time could they have really wasted on the mountain looking for it really?

I suspect that the Globetrotters didn't even think about the fact that Christina and Ron might waste time looking for it where they left it. They just put it back somewhere they could logically assume that they'd find it, since Ron was clearly going to get dressed again at some point. However, I have no problem with them being assessed a penalty, since people are assessed penalties for, say, taking a cab instead of walking, not because they were trying to cheat but because they didn't read a clue carefully enough. In other words, because they made a mistake as opposed to making a deliberate effort to cheat. I seriously doubt the Globetrotters objected when they found out about the penalty either, and I expect they probably did apologize. If they'd really wanted to throw Christina and Ron off their game, they would have simply tossed the bag aside once they realized it wasn't theirs as opposed to trying to put it where they would find it again. Heck, they might not have remembered exactly where they found it outside and had they tried to put it back, they might have ended up costing Ron and Christina even more time.

And really, I doubt the Globetrotters would consider Christina and Ron such a big threat that they'd try to derail them intentionally.
