WOW! I'm so surprised Romber was eliminated.

What I find strange is how Rob was uncharacteristically frantic at the Detour, but relatively calm at the Road Block. Had he stayed true to form and methodical at the Detour it probably would have been a completely different ending.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Whoa that was an intense episode. Best one yet this season. First of all, my fave team arrived at the pitstop first (hooray for danny and ozzie).. i'm just gonna hope they keep it up. Secondly, even though the preview kinda gave it away.. i'm shocked that rob and amber got eliminated! they were awesome racers.. and it was bad luck that eventually lead them to their downfall. Amber didn't seem upset or frantic at all when she knew they were goners. All in all, i enjoyed them on the show! charla and mirna, on the other hand, annoyed the heck outta me with all the shouting/screaming. im hoping they leave next week!!!

Me too. Not only would I take them over Rob/Amber, but also Teri/Ian, Uchenna/Joyce, and Eric/Danielle.

Tonight was the best. I was so afraid that it would be a NEL and when I heard "I'm sorry to tell you" I screamed so loud I think the neighbors heard me.

I have never liked Rob or Amber and I almost didn't watch TARAS because of them. Now I can really enjoy the show.

Other than Uchenna and Joyce, I totally agree with you.

I really want to see the full copies of the letters

Words cannot describe how much I dislike Mirna. Not because she and Charla were the team to beat Rob and Amber to the pit stop, but because she truly is a shrieking harpy. HATE.

I don't believe the dash to the mat was nearly as close as they would like us to believe. You only heard Rob yell to "RUN!" in a voiceover, and if you watched them they were never running but walking. I was trying to figure out why they were taking it so slow, but then I realized that the time between when Mirna found the letter and when Rob did was probably much longer than they made it appear, and they knew they were out. Mirna on the other hand didn't know when Rob would find the letter, and so she is shown screaming at Charla and basically hauling her up the path (and dropping her at one point, by the looks of it).

Ah well. Rob and Amber, you went out well. I agree that Rob was uncharacteristically agitated and panicky at the Detour. I'm also really surprised that Amber didn't calmly check the spelling of each one first when they were told they were wrong. He should have listened to her the first time she said they should try the other detour. They would still be in it if they had done that. Then again, Rob was wrong about the location they were trying to find with the compass, so who knows. He's a really smart player, but I guess in this race one bad day can finish you.

I confess I thought it was hilarious when Amber lied to Mirna. C'mon...the last two teams and Mirna asks "did you find it?" - what did you expect them to do, write you a map and escort you there? Bah. Suck it up and deal with it lady. There are worse things people can do. Remember when you tried to get the airport officials to deny access to Colin because he was a "dangerous man?" - Freak. If they win this thing then someone shoot me now. I mean it.

Loved the idea of letters from past racers. Loved how Mirna's and Rob's letters were not exactly warm and fuzzy. But what, there weren't any other teams willing to write a letter from S7? Patrick and him Mom were it? I burst out laughing when Mirna's letter accused her of not even knowing how to speak English. She was totally offended. BWAH!

Yippee for Danny and Oswald! So cute when they asked Phil to come to Hawaii and he said that was entirely another reality show. So cute. Now if they were to win this thing I would be very happy. Just please, please don't let it be Charla and the shrieking harpy.

Lastly, I'm sorry to see you go, Rob and Amber. I love even the way you fight. Amber telling him to be honest and admit he wants to be in first...and then he does. Cute. They went out with a lot of grace, and good humour. I know a lot of people are dancing a jig after tonight, and I can understand why. I will be doing cartwheels when C/M get the boot (please, please). But I truly do think Rob and Amber are one of the best teams to ever run this race. Too bad they had such a crappy day. I felt bad for Rob at the end, saying how disappointed he will be knowing the race is being run out there and he's not in it. So competitive and truly loves the race.

I'm off now to watch the Loser Lodge footage. Now that should be a great shock to those already there, to see who arrives next!

Wow, they're gone. You know, I was just watching the finale of Against the Odds (first time I watched it, and it's okay), and they just got the call from their agent to go on All-Stars. Amber said they had to redeem themselves and get first place. Well that didn't happen.

And that letter Lyn wrote to the BQs was nice.

You know, I have to chime in as well about the spelling thing. Yes, Rob misspelled a word and they didn't catch it. They did however figure out the right order quickly, and it's a shame they got agitated and didn't catch the spelling mistake. That, however, doesn't make him stupid. Lots of people who are VERY smart are not the best spellers in the world. My biology teacher in high school the very first day explained that for big technical terms he could spell fine, but he didn't need everyone pointing out the little spelling mistakes he was bound to make on everyday words. For him, the sounds and the letters didn't mesh sometimes in his brain. Big deal. Smart man, not a great speller. I think a lot of people can agree that Rob is a smart man. Not necessarily book-smart but definitely intelligent and street smart. I'm not going to bash him for making a spelling mistake. Then I'd have to fess up to all the ones I've made!

Oh JLuvs, I think this is the first time I've ever disagreed with you on anything here on the FORT!

I am so sad Rob & Amber are gone. Even though I had read the spoilers, I was hoping it was a NEL. I do agree with other posters that I thought Amber would have done better in the post office than Rob.

I liked Charla/Mirna their first go-round on TAR but I really did not like Mirna tonight....Charla should have picked up one of those post signs and slapped the snot out of Mirna and maybe she would have shut the hell up!

I'm not as thrilled to be watching TAR now but I'm sure I'll continue to watch...I just won't necessarily go out of my way to make sure I tape it if I happen to be away.

Its just not as exciting now....I guess I will cheer on Danny/Oswald because they seem so likeable, they make me giggle and they look like they are having a good time. The beauty queens are good racers but as I've said before, something about them really irks me so I can't quite cheer wholeheartedly for them. I like Uchenna/Joyce but I don't necessarily want them to win since they have already won.

I dread seeing next weeks episode and hearing everyone make comments about Rob and Amber being gone.

Here is my theory on the letters. Since everyone had two, maybe one of their letters was negative and one was positive and it just depended on which letter they found.

bbnbama - It was bound to happen eventually. I think Charla and Mirna are my third favorite team ever.
