    Really? I didn't know that.
I know a lot of them buy guidebooks at the airport in the city they land in (or wherever). They should pick a guidebook with some key phrases in it. I presume that would not be against the rules.

Memorize the words: Please, Thank You and Fast in as many languages as you can before you go on the race.

    Learned from a viewer's perspective:

If the most vile and obnoxious team doesn't get eliminated in the first two legs: stop watching and wait for the next entirely new race to begin.

Alison and Donny: eliminated so early on, I barely remember they existed. TAR 5 leaves a enjoyable memory.

Blowhole pollutes race til all but 3 episodes remain: not enough episodes left to really savor and redeem race. TAR 6 race memory: the lost race, black hole in race sequence. Not something that I'll look back on with fondness. Something I will avoid looking back on.

I've learned never to root for any team again. Every single team I've ever really rooted for has come in second place. Whether it was Average Joe, Big Brother, or Amazing Race, whenever I've fervently rooted for a team/person, they've come in second place.

Maybe I shouldn't be rooting for Katie in Survivor: Palau.
