I think they are a lot smarter than people think. This could work to their advantage.

Hehe, they are a lot smarter than what the models' alliance members thinks at least.

Bolo was surprised he was having difficulty climbing the 40 foot wall while the women are going past him with more ease.

I guess there's something to be said between being very physically strong and averagely physically fit.

Or maybe they just figured how to use the climbing gear efficiently.

I was surprised with how much trouble Bolo had scaling the wall. Not so much because of his physical strenth - but because he was in the military. JimmyTango was never in the service, but don't they do that kind of stuff in basic training? I just figured Bolo would have used climbing devices and such before..

This team has really surprised me. I expected them to exit early in an embarrassing manner but they've held on, and I'm appreciating them more and more. They're more "equals" than teams like J & V and R & A. And Bolo used to work out at my gym!

The climbing thing involves a lot of mind control over how you 'think' you should climb. The latch thingy mabob had a rope attached to the right foot..when you brought that foot up, it would give slack, in which you'd take the latch thingy and move it upward to grasp the rope. Etc..Etc..
So, it's not about "strength", per se.. it's about the ability to pat your head while rubbing your belly.

    If that makes sense.

All things beautiful do not have to be full of color to be noticed; in
life that which is unnoticed has the most power.

I'm not sure that "fitness" had much to do with it. The average seven-year-old can do more chin-ups than the average 15-year-old, primarily because the seven-year-old weighs a lot less than the 15-year-old. My understanding is that short muscle, in terms of power for mass, is a case of diminishing returns: it weighs more than it can lift, especially over long periods of time. It's the main reason that cyclists and marathon runners are lean and wiry.

Of course, he also seemed to be having some serious "technique-al" difficulties, as well, and I suspect that it was technique more than physique that spanked Bolo's Presbytis comata....

I'm liking Bolo and Lori, they seem like underdogs to the max, and I always cheer for those once the dominant types become apparent.

Bolo just surprises me in that he really doesn't appear to be in very good shape wind wise, and his gait, particularly when running with his pack on has me looking to the ground to see whether he is shackled or something. Makes me wonder whether he's spent the last decade on a chain gang.

He's just an example of a weight lifter that does little to NO cardio training. You can't have one without the other and truly be in good shape.

If this has been covered please direct me...

Has anyone ever heard of Bolo in his wrestler personna before, or is he using this as a launching pad? I am surprised about his lack of cardiovascular strength. If he was a full time wrestler, I would think he's getting a couple hours a day running around the ring.
