If the locals don't understand English, simply say "Amigo" first and repeat your question (in English).

Rich people are fools. They pay big money for a delicacy that makes people sick.

If your partner doesn't agree with your decision, tell her God told you so.

A scarab is an Egyptian sword used to fight your way to first place again after you've squandered your big lead. Not to be confused with scabbard, which is an Egyptian beetle-skin used to sheathe the sword.

I've learned that knowing what a scarab is (before being shown one on TV) makes me a nerd.

I found out that the average TAR viewer/player does not know what a scarab is.

Egypt is really one huge litter box.

Ancient Egyptians made it really hard for tall folks to see their handywork(at least from the inside).
It occurred to me that no matter how bleak things might seem at times, at least I have a head. ----Stargazer

I know. Once again, typing something with intended sarcasim and actually saying something sarcastic just doesn't work the same.

Something I am learning from posting on the boards.

God, apparently, doesn't want you to shave your heads if you're models. That's the New Testament God, of course, not the Old one, who taught Samson a little lesson about humility via a buzzcut and a woman named Delilah.
