That totally amazed me. I have been at the receiving end of many a ticket in L.A. and either the cop wanted his 15 seconds in the limelight or he was playing "good cop" and the "bad cop" was lurking somewhere else.

They crossed lines, made illegal turns and generally drove badly and yet the TAR teams ended up getting a police escort to their destination.

Did Phil's clout have anything to do with this?

I remember last year one team was speeding and they got docked time. If your cabbie speeds it's fine, but if you speed you get docked. At least that's how it worked last year. :shrug

What an exciting show! Never watched it before last night and was glad I "studied" the notes posted for newbies. I can already tell there are going to be the teams you love to love, and love to hate.

Cali, you know how much it hurts to correct you, but the only reason they were docked is because there was a travel advisory, and in their clue, it specifically told them that they couldn't drive over XX km/h after dusk.

Otherwise, speeding is fine if you think you can get away with it.

Oh yeah this is a TAR thread not a what about MEEEE thread. I loved it , but do they always have to cast for annoying?
