What can CBS do to make TAR a ratings hit? Us TAR fans (and all tv critics) know that the show is fantastic, a jewel, but how do they lure new fans? Is there just too much reality tv out there competing with this show?
And TAR newbies, what would make you watch this show? (Besides all our cajoling, telling you that you MUST see it).
John posted something about how to change the format of the show to draw more viewers, but what can they do to it now with it’s current format, for TAR 4, to make people watch?
I think having it in Survivor’s slot against reruns of Friends is a big help. I personally think they need to air more commercials for the show. I still remember being bombarded during the summer of 2000 with commercials for the very first Survivor. I would never have tuned in if A. there had been anything else to watch the night I tuned in, and B. if they hadn’t reminded me it was on about 50 billion times via advertising. That combined with the fact that 3 friends coincidentally also watched it for the first time on the same exact night I did.
What else can CBS do to make TAR a hit?

To be a star: you must shine your own light; follow your own path; and don't be afraid of the darkness, for that's where stars shine brightest.
