I am so glad my Hockey players are safe , and the roller derby moms.
I am surprised nobody U-turned them
I am not fond of the you tube couple.
Chuck should have listened to Wy, but she seems grumpy. I am glad they get a fresh start, well , sort of a fresh start

I have a jet in the pool game and it tipped its wings over the B52 wreckage and the men that died when the plane was shot down.
I think the price for allowing the Race into the country was the presentation of that propaganda song. Socialist? my a**. Just ask those who had to or longed to flee the communists.
I won't go all political, but it was my generation that died there, including a very good friend. I truly hope the race never goes back.
Other than my anger at this "happy" portrayal of a country that still holds many deep scars, I'm glad Pam/Winnie got the win. I enjoyed them this leg including their comments about the Express Pass kafluey, which also endeared the married couple to me this week. They were only saying what we said about the last leg. Ah, when Phil told Dave/Connor they were eliminated, you had to know a spot would open since it wasn't a double elimination leg.
On to Botswana and scorpions. Oh, joy.

I couldn't agree more. They were my favorite team and even though I knew it was going to happen sooner or later it just made tonight's show sad for me.They truly were an inspiration and I really wish Dave the very best with his surgery and hope they get their chance to race again.
Roller Derby moms and hockey team guys were the next two on my list in the beginning, but guess I need to regroup and see what next week brings before picking another favorite for this season. I think I agree with Red Sox girl that the rest of the teams are just meh for me. No one is really standing out.![]()
Okay, they have been in Vietnam before, but Saigon and the southern inlets, not Hanoi, which is another kettle of fish altogether.

I liked them before tonight. That wife is pretty useless in this race. If they still have the rule about balancing road blocks, she is going to get stuck doing some real grunt work later on because she wouldn't do something as simple as finding a poster after watching singing tonight. I think they are good people, but I'm wondering why she ever agreed to come on this race because she's obviously not in any shape to handle the simplest of tasks.
After tonight I'm finding myself liking the Asian girls and Mr. And Mrs. Unlikable a lot more. Both seem like really smart players. The YouTubers lost me completely tonight. Why no uturn the hockey players? They're clearly the strongest team left so why not try to put them out?

Maybe cringing was the desired response? I've always heard the phrase "Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it." Perhaps they thought this generation, one who had no real contact with the Vietnam War other than in history books, needed to see something real from it first hand. A few seasons back they went to a former POW camp where John McCain and other US soldiers were held. I'm sure that was equally painful for those who witnessed it first hand, but for younger people they perhaps needed to see some reality from the war to help them understand it more. That's what I took from it anyway.
I kind of liken it to my trips to the Arizona Memorial. The only contact I had with WWII was that I had a grandfather (who died before my time) survive Pearl Harbor. There was also what I'd witnessed as what I could only call half truths that were played out on The Waltons. I say half truths because the series was loosely autobiographical. Anyway, I don't think I truly understood Pearl Harbor until I visited that site and stood over that wrecked ship below me. For a lot of us, seeing that POW camp or the downed B52 is the closest we will get to Vietnam. For that reason, I did not take it in any way disrespectful to those who served in Vietnam, and to the OP I'm sorry it brought out such painful memories for you. Just try and think of it as a nod to your DH's sacrifices and the more serious sacrifices so many others made because I think that's how a lot of people took it.

I don't get the hatred/dislike the Utubers had for Matt (the newlyweds) when he commented that the team in the previous leg were "dumb" for getting eliminated while holding an express pass. It was dumb and stupid and highly arrogant considering the circumstances to hold on to an express pass in that situation. Why get mad at someone because they said so?

Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage.
You do it. I am afraid to run.....hmmm I do believe we are in for some struggles down the road.
That was a great message! And I've had a terrible day, so thank you.I love random acts of kindness.Really, realy appreciated.Scott- RIP SDL<3
My question is, what would happen if two people withdrew themselves on a NEL? Would that have repercussions on both legs or just the one? Would that in effect cause two NEL in a row? (One NEL with/without a speed bump and another when someone doesn't get kicked off since someone withdrew themself.)
