The Beekmans were so bloody boring and as soon as I saw the flags, I knew it was made for them .I knew they were going to win a few weeks ago. .

Not a yawn for me. Nice guys really do finish first! At the dog food challenge, they started messing with the twinnies' heads and laughed when the twins called them evil gays. That didn't bother them and it didn't bother me.
Once again (remember the plaza challenge to locate a seated woman?) the chips ran around rather than truly looking at what was right in front of them. Arriving after the Beekman's at the UN challenge, James used pretty much the same strategy as Josh in running up the flags. I'm happy they won the cars, but they also won trips (twice, I think) that they can cash in and have the money to help out the father. I hope Trey and Lexi really have grown closer on the race and their romance doesn't continue to be a figment of Lexi's imagination.

I feel the same way. I had been rooting for the Chippendales the entire race. I did not want Team Texas or Twisted Sisters to win, but just saw too much of a defeated attitude with the Beekman's in the race until the last few weeks. I also remember their bickering not only in other weeks, but tonight as well. They always worked it out and never major fighting, but that was one thing I really enjoyed about the Chippendales. Never once during the entire race did one put the other down. They always seemed happy and enjoyed the entire race. One was always there to cheer the other one on. Even as the three finished the last task Lexi broke down and the Beekman's did a little picking at each other until Josh decided near the end to treat it like a math challenge and by process of elimination finished it off. If I wanted any team to be 2nd it would have been the Beekman's. I had a feeling that they would win. Maybe it was some of the edits when Phil questioned them at the mat when they were saved from a NEL, and decided finally, that they were going to fight, and promised Phil they would win, but I did have that feeling. I am happy for them, but would have much perferred the Chipendales to be the ones who won. I do hope they are asked back for an All Star season. When they said they hoped they helped change people's minds how they felt in the future about Chippendales - I can tell you they certainly changed mine.Glad Karma bit Team Texas and the Twisted Sisters on the ass!

I also wished that the Chips won but I'm ok with the Beekmans considering that they always finish in the bottom in every leg and they should have been eliminated more than a couple of times but luck was just on their side. It also helped that they had an advantage being from NY and that the last challenge is always a smarts challenge. Glad the Twins got lost after they overtook the Beekmans at the mushroom cave challenge. I thought the Chips would have won it if only they found the clue sooner at the fair and if their cab didn't leave. I see that they finished the flag challenge a few minutes after the Beekmans as the Beekmans just passed their taxi cab when they when they just got in the cab. I thought it would be a foot race but I guess the Chips got caught in traffic.
Also I thought the Beekmans should have hid the fact that they understood and can speak French. I think they would have lead the race in France. The other teams also accused of Josh faking his injury. What's up with that? Glad that Brent was trash talking them too.
I was firmly team Chip and Dale. I hate the way the dark haired Beekman speaks to his partner. I also hate the fact that they had a reality show and act like they have pulled themselves up by their boot straps to live their dream. Lots of people don't get any help at all to do what they want in life and have to go to work every day at a job they hate just to pay the bills. Bitter and jealous of me, maybe but don't give me a hard luck story when you are living the dream.

I think the Chips may get some extra work out of their appearance on the race too, and I don't mean just as dancers, though that may happen too. It won't likely end up making them an extra $500,000 each, but it's still money they wouldn't have had otherwise. And it will be because they were shown to be funny and supportive and generally nice guys. That's a win too, in some respects.
I think the Beekmans had their share of very bad traveling luck, and at least part of the reason they were "saved," when they likely would have been eliminated was due to the Twinnies' big plan to eliminate a stronger team they hated. Karma really came back at them in a big way for that. The other teams dismissed the Beekmans because they weren't physical, but they overlooked the fact that they were good at anything that was logic-based and that the final challenge generally has some kind of logic-based element to it.
I agree about Josh's injury. He'd clearly been in pain in other legs, and the Twinnies were right there when he sat down during the tennis challenge, because his ankle couldn't take it. Nobody would have faked an injury for that long when they were that far behind. Not to mention the fact that while Josh started out running with everyone else in France, it wasn't long before he was slowing way up. Again, not a point at which someone would be faking an injury. He just couldn't run for long on his ankle. That was as stupid as the Twinnies telling Phil that the Beekmans had something up their sleeves or telling the Beekmans to be quiet at the dog food task. Geez, talk about people in glass houses. The Beekmans hadn't been deceptive in the race, and, in fact, they'd probably been too helpful sometimes to people they shouldn't have helped. And the Twinnies were incredibly loud at tasks even when they were asked by others to hush, so why should they expect quiet from their competitors in return, just because they were finally rattled at a task?
An overall unsatisfying season ending. I guess I'm "old school" and still like to see teams win that were competitive and strong, treated eachother relatively well, and won from good strategy and not necessarily due to one final challenge. I love the idea of the final city ending location being some small city in the middle of no where!
I started rooting for the Beekmans the episode of the double u turn. I remember thinking, at the time of the u turn, "Beekman's, prove them wrong!" For me, their win was a kind of poetic justice.
Actually, I would have also been OK with a win from the Chippies.
