Milwaukee is your idea of a small town? Let me introduce you to some places in South Dakota....

Maybe they could have the finale at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. And by South Dakota standards, Mitchell isn't even that small.

And let them try and find direct flights into South Dakota--that would be a challenge.

Remember, I was born and bred in NYC - I would love to see them try and go to South Dakota - they should do an 'USA' version.

I did think of this--they could tell them they had to find the place where the American League was founded. There's actually a plaque in downtown Milwaukee marking the spot. Or they could give them a photo of the Milwaukee Art Museum and watch some dumb team take off for the Sydney Opera House.

Just so they went somewhere other than Mount Rushmore, which is the only place some people think exists in South Dakota. Really, there are a number of things they could do with them in SD--send them into a cave, have them participate in a round-up, try and do some Lakota beadwork, go up to DeSmet and do a Laura Ingalls Wilder-related task etc.

Unfortunately, the one time they did a USA version, it was that stupid family version where everything had to be so kid-friendly that it was beyond boring.

Once they found the AL marker, they then could go down the street and try to eat their way through Mader's menu. Or identify spices by smell only in the Spice House. Or they could have to figure out that the Safe House is actually a spy-themed restaurant.
