Then I read a good point made here in this thread. You're in the one of the poorest countries on earth, and you're telling the world that you spent $500 your hair? Seriously? How much money and/or food could you buy with $500? And instead you throw that kind of money away in a pathetic bid to win the world's approval. So now I'm back to disgust.

So people who spend money on cosmetics, jewellery and fancy shoes in a bid to look good are to be disdained because they're not sending that money overseas to feed the poor? Well, I feel so much better that I don't wear cosmetics, my jewellery is home made, and my footwear is Crocs.

It's a slippery slope, IMO. I recently discovered an old high school friend on facebook. She has remained friends with a group of girls that I long since lost touch with. Seeing all of them on her facebook page made me think I had stumbled across the Real Housewives of our hometown. I could not be more different than they are with regards to my looks (apparently I'm not blonde! who knew!) and clothes/houses/cars/little dogs/etc. I am tempted to criticize them, heavily, for their apparent fascination with the superficial, but then what does that make me? I can't act superior to them because I make different choices and I don't see the need for hair extensions, sports cars, or toy poodles. Different strokes for different folks. Rachel may be partial to her hair, she may be terrified of how she would look bald, she may be shallow as all get out, but that doesn't mean she doesn't feel badly for those less fortunate. I don't think her comments in light of where they were should be held against her, I guess. We could all be doing more to help others, I'm sure.

Never trust previews. They edit those things to within an inch of their lives. Remember how Mark supposedly was going to give up? And the histrionics about the U-Turn turned out to be one guy having a temper tantrum that the offending team totally ignored. And Vanessa supposedly being incapacitated when it was just a bruise...and so on ad nausuem. Not that I'm necessarily criticizing AR; every reality show does this. Mike Fleiss and his Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise are the absolute masters of it.

However, if the spoiler is true, then that would make my TV season.

I'll be happy. I don't think it'll be the other teams because while both can be annoying, they haven't overlooked any of the clues or requirements of the challenges.
