Re: Margie and Luke - TAR 18
I am only deaf in one ear and that didn't happen until my forties, but I completely understand how frustrating it can be dealing with a number of situations when you can't hear. And while I do understand that there are deaf people who are more mature than Luke at the same age, I am quite certain that a larger number of deaf people are maturing at the same rate as him. And for that I will cut him some slack.
As an aside, I have personally met a large number of hearing people his age who are no more mature than he is. They just don't happen to offend by way of having an "annoying" voice.
Re: Margie and Luke - TAR 18
While I did find him annoyingand immature many times, I really had to shed a tear when he did his voiceover after they were eliminated.
Being on TAR was clearly of tantamount importance to him and he was very grateful for the opportunity to reach out to the deaf community.
I have to cut him a lot of slack. He has obviously inspired numerous hearing impaired people and that, for me, is a very good thing. :up

Her frustration is expressed by crying and what some people think is whining, but that is how she expresses herself through her disability. She can't speak her frustration so she uses other expressions. I would never call my sister or deaf person a "baby" for expressing themselves out of frustration. I thought Luke did an amazing job. I wish they stayed longer.
I agree, also those tasks can be incredibly long, one of the redheads mentioned that it took her 4 hours to do the dinosuar model so can understand Luke's frustration.
Re: Margie and Luke - TAR 18
I understand the frustration, but Luke seems easily frustrated. IMO he is like most 25 year olds, living at home with momma....spoiled and used to getting his way. Margie reminds me of the mother who thinks her child does no wrong and it is everyone elses fault.
