That's possible, but it was quite obvious that they'd be cooking or eating something. They were in a restaurant, after all.

At the beginning of the season, I loved Nick and Vicki. Now I just love Vicki. She is very sweet, patient and just plain adorable. I wanted to hug her when she was basically forced to give up on that challenge. I wanted to kick Nick you-know-where.

Claire had no idea either after reading the clue that it was an eating challenge. She thought it had to do with karaoke as there were karaoke singers up at the front.

I did love the audience, they were so enthusiastic (at first. As it dragged on, more and more people left, one girl was shown reading a magazine...that was funny, too).

Today Jill and Thomas got to the airport sometime in the morning and their flight wasn't until 11pm or so. I remember thinking they had almost an 18 hour wait or something like that. If they get into one of those situations next week with a big equalizer than Nick and Vicki will be right back in it with no problems. Grrrr.

That won't happen. They're flying from Hong Kong to South Korea, so I'm sure there will be lots of flights.

I looked into it, and yes, they technically are the first to survive the U-Turn (although to be fair, it was a W-Turn). There have been two times when a team U-Turned another team who was ahead of them, meaning that those two teams technically survived those U-Turns (but that doesn't really count, right?). It should also be noted that Kisha & Jen would have survived it if Jen had not gone to the bathroom right before the Pit Stop.

That's a good point about the teams being ahead. I think the way Brooke/Claire phrased it she meant that they were the first team to be U'turned by a team ahead, and then survive to face that team in the next challenge. However, if you want to get technical you could say that these other two teams also fit the definition. I mean, they were U'turned, but they still overcame the deficit to make it to the next episode. So all in all, that would make Brooke/Claire the third team?

The race started to film on May 26, 2010, meaning that it ended quite some time ago; the attack had not happened yet at the time of filming. With that said, I agree that going near North Korea is dangerous. However, I read that the leg is focused in Seoul, which is sort of by the border but still pretty far away and safe (well, at least it was at the time of filming). Still, I don't know why they're advertising the race to be by North Korea after the recent attack... maybe it was to get the viewer anxious of what's to come?

There's a huge American military presence in South Korea, and it looks like the contestants are doing something with our troops. Also, as somebody else pointed out, they have an ice skating challenge, which probably indicates Seoul since that's where the '88 Olympics took place.

I've noticed that as Nick & Vicki continue in this race, more questions arise. Remember how they didn't do a Speed Bump after surviving their first NEL? I'm sure it was edited out, but the show has not yet made that clear. And now there's questions surrounding their quitting the Detour.

I don't think it was edited out. They did not have to do one that leg. It was discovered (and discussed a lot) on here and it turns out that they were saved because they had actually completed the roadblock however the judge at the roadblock told them they were wrong, when they were actually correct. Which is why there wasn't a Speed bump for them to do.

This time they will have to do a speed bump, Phil told them when they checked in that they would have to complete one.

LOL. I remember when they were told to take a flag from a balustrade, and they kept asking people, "Are you a balustrade?"

Waited for them to ask the restaurant employees, "Are you a peckish?"

I sure hope Nick shapes up a bit, already. I do really like Vicki.

While I do like that Brooke is very encouraging and positive to her partner, I have to say that she would kind of drive me nuts pretty quickly. I love positive people, but she's like an Energizer bunny that you just want to shut off. At least, I do........Enough is enough.

Not to mention his whining about how he hadn't eaten all day. If he was that freakin' hungry, he should have taken on the food task himself and let Vicki catch her breath.

And why didn't he volunteer to carry Vicki's backpack for her when she was struggling to breathe??? :nono Twit. Whoever said it earlier was right - Vicki should have dumped Nick and finished the race with the goat.
