My DVR didn't pick up the end because football ran over. I was a little nervous!


I really, really do like Vicki. She is such a sweet girl and I hope she finds someone eventually who will treat her like she deserves to be treated.

Chad actually toned it down this episode. Instead of SHUT UP he said shush, which is more tolerable for me. I'd prefer "be quiet" but shush is better than shut up. I know he was razzing the doctors but he did say he wanted to get into their heads. Not unheard of in any competition, so I can't fault him that. He was a LOT more gracious about it than I thought he would be. I'm just hoping that when he got home, he watched these episodes, realized what a butthead he was to Steph and that they can learn from this and make it work. They are a cute couple...when they aren't bitchin' at each other...

So happy the docs and the shop girls are still in it.

Thank you God, Chad is gone. Notice how the women don't diss the other's.

Cannot find anything to like about Nick. He just gives me more and more to dislike every episode. I am hoping he will be in the final 3 just to lose to one of the girl teams.

With the humongous lead that they had, Jill/Thomas made it a pretty boring episode in the beginning. But boy did things pick up towards the end! What an exciting finish, which fortunately ended the way I wanted it to. The only thing I would have done different was made this a NEL. I mean, there's three more legs left, so one is obviously a NEL. They should have made this one the NEL and created some suspense in future legs as opposed to (I'm assuming) waiting to make the next leg a NEL and creating no suspense at all.

Well, at least it gives Brook/Claire time to catch-up. The first two teams are hours ahead of them.

Oh, and I agree--I love Vicki! She is so sweet. And not to mention really strong (did you see her in that RB in Norway!?). It's too bad that Nick acts up. I like him, too, but not when he acts like a total douchebag.

22 degrees here in Maine and I was sweating just watching this episode. The teams looked so hot and bedraggled. I felt so bad for Claire when she was trying not to pass out from heat exhaustion and Brooke was yelling for her to run faster, but it turned out those extra few seconds saved them in the end- thank goodness!

Boy, the edit for extreme front-runners Jill/Thomas made this leg look easy-peasy. It was anything but. And speaking of butt-heads, Nick was on a roll tonight. Vicki thought he was being nice and commended him for it saying, "See how much better it goes when you're nice." If she had been running with the goat, he could have crunched the sugar cane (which according to Nick tasted like sweet grass then pulled an ick face) and drank it at the same time. The goat would have had a harder time with the lunch pails, but would have neyed encouragement when Vicki put together the bike - or he could have eaten any leftover parts.

Wow - the super heat and super crowds and the fast paced action should have taken down and out at least one racer, but they all survived, if a bit cranky.

I hope when Chad watches the shows, he will see how ugly he looks when he gets aggressive or angry. His facial contortions are hard to watch.

Why was it light when Nat/Kat reached the mat and pitch dark when the teams who, I thought, were right behind them said hi to Phil? Because of the tense action, I don't remember if Nat/Kat took a rickshaw while the other two ran all the way to the pit stop. It seems it should have been closer between Nat/Kat and Brooke/Claire. I am very happy, though, that both female teams survived to run another leg! Good for them!

I think Nat/Kat took a taxi to the pitstop. If Brooke/Claire and Chad/Stephanie walked, I'm not sure why. It just said "make your way". I'm hoping they actually took a cab and it only showed after they'd gotten out of it, but I'm not sure if we'll ever know. It'll be interesting to see how far behind Nat/Kat Brooke/Claire were.

Jill & Thomas first. Bleh, that left a bad taste in my mouth. I can only hope for an equalizer next leg, and also an NEL here if one of the all-girl teams come in last.

I normally get really annoyed with the equalizers, however, I am praying that we see one next leg. I am not a Jill/Thomas fan.

Brooke/Claire, I love these girls. I don't even find them annoying, which surprises me. Even when Brooke pushes Claire and she pushes back they manage to not let things get too heated. They each recognize their weaknesses and seem to find it in them to grant each other grace, sometimes a bit late, but still. Brooke really does jump into each task and just try to focus and get it done. Loved Phil for calling them out on being a real threat in the game. That was funny. I get the impression he really likes these two.

I was so glad to see Chad and Stephanie get eliminated. I think that she is a nice person, but Chad just seems like a major A-hole. I personally didn't like how he started talking all that smack to the ER doctor, because of how he said it. To me those were meant as personal insults, because he wasn't smiling or laughing when he said them. He just looked like he was so pissed at them for U-turning him and Stephanie and was just mouthing off - slinging insults. He came across as such a jerk.

From what I have seen of Chad it appears that he will be verbally abusive of Stephanie in their marriage. I hope that she is watching these episodes so that she can get an insight into how he used words to hurt her.

It's almost always NEL at final four. You can put money on it. We had this discussion either last season or the season before that, if I recall.

It would be nice to change it up, but I think that they think that it makes the best TV to make that one NEL.
