This might just be me, but I don't see why they couldn't just go back to and check to see if their backpacks are still there and then get them. They are in and we know they get at least a little break before the next leg, so why couldn't they just go back to get the backpacks?Quote:

Same question here. They've theoretically got at least 12 hours before they leave the pit stop. Can't they do pretty much whatever they want during that time, including going back for their stuff? Why would that be prohibited? (Of course, if their stuff is gone, that's something else...)
